With Nokia World approaching fast we should expect the Finnish manufacturers to announce at least a few new handsets or mobile gadgets. One of them could be the Nokia Alvin, a phone that has just hit the FCC. We don’t have many details about it but we do know that the Alvin is going to have 32GB of internal memory, a BL-5J battery, quad-band GSM, tri-band WCDMA, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. Should we assume that the Alvin is the follower of the N97? What do you guys think?

Curios what phones will Nokia launch next? Well it looks like there are plenty of rumors out there especially since the Nokia World event is almost upon us. And people say that Cseries and Xseries phones are definitely going to be presented in Germany this September. Xseries phones will replace the XpressMusic line and it’s being suggested that the first Xseries phone will be a new version of the recently launched 5530 XpressMusic
As for Nseries phones, a new touchscreen model seems to be in the works for later this year so if you love Nokia you’ll surely have a few new handsets to choose from. The Eseries will be getting the first S60 5th Edition model in 2010 so all we have to do is sit and wait for all these new Nokia handsets to be officially unveiled. Mobile banking or sending money through the use of our mobile phones has been something present for certain countries. However, starting next year, Nokia will be joining the fray as it is set to unveil Nokia Money.
As the name connotes, Nokia Money is all about allowing users to send money or settle their financial obligations like bills through a simple text message. To make this all happen, Nokia is currently busy building a network of Nokia Money agents where users can deposit or withdraw funds right on their very own accounts.
Nokia Money will be presented at the coming Nokia World this September and is expected to commence in 2010.

When it comes to identifying mobile phones, rarely would people remember the actual model or series that is tied up to it. Some people would just remember them by terms such as its brand or perhaps distinctive features like “a camera phone” or “quad band”. Now, it looks like Nokia will change all that to put meaning towards proper identification of their phones, something which has severely been overlooked lately.
So what should be done? For Nokia, it all starts from naming them prior to releasing their phones. And this new handset naming scheme will officially be announced at the Nokia World Conference which should put some order and reason as to why handset names are important to this day.
The naming scheme will involve every phone under the Nokia brand. This announcement will coincide with the release of the new devices, the new X, C and S Series. This early, the series of phones will have features that will easily identify them to a certain series.
For example, all E Series would sport a decent messaging client, wi-fi and other important business functionalities that a business user would not want to miss.
This and a lot more are going to be revealed at the Nokia World Conference so don’t miss it!

Frankly I am a little bit disappointed that Nokia hasn’t considered yet launching Android phones. Sure you’ll tell me that the Finnish company already has its very own OS. But is Symbian good enough at this point? While we’re waiting for the Symbian Foundation to create a totally new Symbian OS, other companies are getting an impressive Android market share. Android is getting hotter and hotter and we’re going to see lots of new gadgets powered by Google’s OS.
Nokia is finally seeing the big picture. It’s being rumored that a Nokia Android smartphone is in the works and it will be unveiled at the Nokia World conference in September. Nokia is looking to increase its market share in the smartphone business. Although it’s the number one cell phones manufacturer in the world Nokia is losing terrain in the smartphone sector. The company has lost 16% market share in 2 years. Compared to 2007 when it had 47% market share for smartphones at the end of 2008 that number dropped to 31%.
Is Nokia preparing a new flagship phone? Would you buy a N97 Android Nokia smartphone? We’ll have to wait a couple of months to find out if Nokia is indeed thinking Android thoughts.
