INQ1, a social mobile handset from the Hutchison Whampoa company, won the the Best Mobile Handset award earlier at the GSMA in Barcelona. The INQ won the award over four other shortlisted contenders including the Nokia E71, T-Mobile G1, RIM BlackBerry Storm and LG KS360.

This award is the most coveted and fiercely contested prize in the mobile industry and is given to a device with the combination of design, technical excellence and functionality that comes together to position a product at the top of its market.

The INQ is an HSDPA handset that provides one-click access to fully integrated applications including Facebook, Skype, Windows Messenger and Last.fm. The intuitive navigation offered by the switcher key and menu carousel, along with instant information provided by the home screen widgets and the integrated phonebook, deliver an experience so intuitive that it’s easy and fun to stay connected.

The INQ has a 3.2MP camera that allows for photos to be directly uploaded to Facebook, while preloaded modem drivers mean the handset can double as a plug and play dongle.

Classy, stylish, serious, simple… Trying to find a word for these Nokia new advertisements. Each commercial is showing a different device, the E71 and the E66 (after the break) but both of them respect the same standards and guidelines. I have to say I like the E71 already so I wouldn’t need convincing to buy one. The E66 is another smartphone from Nokia that’s worth all the money, but I’d get the E71 any day. RIM’s Thunder would however keep me from choosing either one of these two handsets for now.

The lucky guys over at BRG had the opportunity of getting their hands on the upcoming business class cell phone, the Nokia E71. Thankfully, there were able to put up a video walkthrough of the handset including almost all of its features. While there isn’t anything new to be said about the E71 compared to the already available cell phones from Nokia in its class, the device seems to be fairly fast and sturdy. Just a few days back we were talking about HTC’ Diamond Touch which was rumored to be fully released today in London. That event already took place just a few hours ago.

Now we have another fresh and hot rumor about Nokia E71. This new smart phone is going to be launched this Thursday, May 8th. Nokia E71 will feature super-fast 3G data of course, GPS and WiFi, an autofocus camera and a full QWERTY keyboard. All that packed into a slim case. Nokia, as they said, will bring more and more cell phones to the US market and the E71 is potentially one of them. We let you know more about its cost and what carrier will start selling it in a few days.

Things do go by fast, don’t they? It hasn’t been long from the time the first rumors took the tech world by storm to the time the first pic was leaked. As of now, the specs for Nokia E71 have been spotted. Slyly branded as the Nokia LIAM at this stage as if we won’t be able to identify it, the rumored specs of what we had come to call the Nokia E71 seem to have been correct. See for yourself. Looks like we’ll be seeing a second quarter release date so I’m pretty much sure news about the E71 will trickle steadily as time goes.
