Gamers are bound to love these two new gadgets unveiled by Performance Designed Products (PDP) that will change the face of gaming. The 2 new devices are the GameTrak Freedom and SmartStylus.

Gametrak Freedom is a proprietary and patent-pending ultrasonic 3D motion sensing technology that delivers performance, increased control and flexibility. The system is comprised of a base unit, which attaches to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft via USB, and a hand-held controller.
Unlike other motion sensing gaming systems, Gametrak Freedom does not rely on the gamer pointing a controller at the screen, nor does it restrict the gamer to limited movements. The system accurately tracks the true 3D position and precise movements of up to four players anywhere within a given environment. This technology provides players with total control and unrivaled game play opportunities.

PDP also unveiled the new revolutionary wireless SmartStylus 1 and 2 devices for the Nintendo DS. The patent-pending SmartStylus™ 1 and 2 both feature a vibration feedback that players using the stylus will feel based on movements and commands in the game. The SmartStylus 2 can include a variety of added features, including LEDs, sound and motion feedback.
With the motion feedback capability, the stylus can now act as a motion input device, allowing you, for example, to hit a home run by swinging the stylus off the DS screen. The SmartStylus 1 will launch this fall and is pending licensing by Nintendo.
“The technologies offered by both the Gametrak Freedom™ and the SmartStylus™ tools are the first of their kind,” said John Moore, senior vice president of marketing for the California-based PDP. “PDP is excited to be introducing these new technologies. They will create a new level of gaming that can be enjoyed by the whole family.”

We have seen a couple of unique but weird looking chargers in the market but this new one, the Cyberpunk wrist battery charger is something that people may not necessarily want to wear in public. It looks like a band where you are a slave if you love watching sci-fi movies.
It uses a rechargeable li-on battery and comes with 8 different types of power connectors. The connectors will work with major brand mobile phones, the PSP and Nintendo DS as well as I’m sure a few other things, probably including the iPod.
To recharge the portable battery, it takes a total of 5 hours. When it’s used as a direct power source, it’ll give you 3 hours of talk time or 8 hours on your MP3 player.

At first they were rumors but if this new device from Ninentdo, the new Nintendo DSi, does come out this April then expect a lot of people looking into this handy device. A successor to the Nintendo DS Lite, this latest offering is 12 percent thinner and comes with two VGA digital cameras.
It also comes with better speakers, a power button instead of the switch found on the DS Lite, five brightness settings, a new SD card slot for data storage and multimedia content, the ability to update firmware when needed, and 256 MB of internal flash memory.
One downside to it though is that the battery can only last 16 hours compared to the DS Lite’s standard 19 hours. The reason behind this is the additional brightness settings feature that the DSi comes with.

According to reports made by the popular Japanese outlet Nikkei Net, there will be a new version of the Nintendo DS later this year. While the Pink Ribbon DS that we mentioned today is good for charity related to cancer reasearch, it doesn’t bring anything new to the table in terms of features – only a pink ribbon on the front cover.
Anyway, the new Nintendo DS will have two functions that haven’t been seen before in the portable gaming product: music playback (finally), a built-in camera, and lastly, a better set of wireless functions.
