All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

When it comes to getting to know more about the places you travel to, there will be people who will have some deficiencies. This includes that of being deaf or having hearing problems. So while many of us find it more informative to actually hear guides from various multimedia means to actually be lured into such places, here is a neat software from Visual Travel Tours that should address this issue.

QuietGuides is a software tailor-made for the one with hearing problems. The need to learn more about places before actually traveling there is a need and this new software is without a doubt a big boost to travel itineraries and of course boosting tourism barriers for the people with handicaps.

VTT QuietGuides help deaf and hearing impaired travelers pre-plan adventures, pick the best places to visit - from Main Street to Mongolia - and access travel information on the go. Over 115 QuietGuides are currently available, with new releases every month.

There is a new way to help iPhone and iPod Touch owners through the Kindle store. Amazon today launched a Kindle Store optimized for the Safari Web browser on iPhone. Now when users of the Kindle for iPhone app click on “Get Books,” the new Kindle Store tailored for the size and shape of the iPhone and iPod touch screens automatically opens in Safari.

This optimized Kindle store offers iPhone and iPod touch app users quick and easy access to the Kindle Store’s 280,000 books, including 106 of 112 New York Times Best Sellers and most New Releases that are available for $9.99 or less.

The Kindle for iPhone application was released on March 4 and within days became the most popular books app in the iPhone App Store. iPhone users can shop Kindle’s massive selection of books on the iPhone and iPod touch using Apple’s Multi-Touch user interface.

Amazon’s Whispersync technology saves and synchronizes Kindle customers’ bookmarks across Kindle, iPhone and iPod touch, so you always have your reading with you and never lose your place. Kindle customers can read a few pages on their iPhone or iPod touch and pick up right where they left off on their Kindle.

  • Nokia 5030

In what is perhaps the most affordable and basic phone among the three new releases of Nokia, the Nokia 5030 is the first phone to carry an internal FM radio antenna. The one touch FM radio and channel selection keys on the side of the device ensure the product lives up to its XpressRadio name.

Placed sideways on the table, the Nokia 5030 doubles as a portable FM radio and is ideal for emerging markets, where people rely on a radio as their main source of entertainment and news. The Nokia 5030 has up to a day of listening time and 10 hours of talk time, which comes to life with the powerful loudspeaker, and is available in two colors - graphite and red.

The Nokia 5030 is expected to begin shipping in the second quarter of 2009 with an estimated retail price of less than 40 EUR, before taxes or subsidies.
