Brain Training with the Palm Pre

Lumosity.com offers a great cognitive training and educational game to get your brain up and about. The company has launched Speed Brain, a speed and fitness games that puts the alertness of your brain to the test. The game was made for the new Palm Pre Mobile.

“We’re excited to launch the first brain training game on webOS,” said Kunal Sarkar, CEO of Lumos Labs. “We’ve been working with Palm over the last few months and feel that webOS is a great platform to deliver games that are good for you.”

Now with the new Palm Pre out, the next thing that new owners would be looking out for are new apps to install in them. And for the people who want to keep themselves busy, here is an app that is surely worth downloading. Sharpen up those brain cells and see if you can put our wits up for the challenge.

While many people are lining up to get the Palm Pre which will be made available to the public today, the next thing people are thinking about would be what apps to get for it when they do get their units. Apparently, new owners will be given limited options as far as third-party apps and games which should become a concern.

But while the App Catalog may be in the beta stages, there is an alternative place to get some stuff to your new Palm Pre. The site is Cellufun, one of the largest mobile virtual communities in the world where millions of people play dozens of different social games and connect with each other.

The Palm Pre’s web browser will support access to Cellufun’s games, mobile blogging applications and mobile commerce opportunities, making it one of the few non-Palm applications available to early adopters of this new smart phone.

Sprint Starts Palm Pre Training

In what many call as a sign of things to come, Sprint employees have reportedly started training on the Palm Pre, a development many foresee as the imminent release of the highly anticipated mobile device.

The Palm Pre is rumored to be released somewhere between April and May and if this factor is to be considered for the developmental stages of the Palm Pre then perhaps we may see the launch of this phone.

All the rumors and speculations of a mid-April/late April/May launch of the Palm Pre doesn’t appear to be too far of a stretch. Stated in an email from Sprint, “Employees can expect training to start in April as well as multiple communications to get them excited and ready to help our customers.” I was wondering if the training has begun — so I asked for a confirmation on that thought.

“I would like to inform that Sprint is in the process of providing the training for the new Palm Pre. Once it’s launched, Sprint will be ready to serve their valued customers regarding the Palm Pre.”

The fact that Sprint employees are already training up on the Palm Pre, pretty much implies that the release date of the Pre should be near. On top of that, early this week, Sprint began getting the word out about the Pre with their new marketing campaign.

  • Navigation has been made easier with this new software made for Palm Pre devices. The new software is the TealOS which incorporates a lot of the navigation and UI components of Palm’s new WebOS.

It looks super smooth even on an underpowered device like the Centro, and is not only pretty but functional as well. WebOS’s cards and launcher are replicated really nicely, which breathes so much life back into the Centro it might as well be a whole new phone.

    Price: $14.95
