Make way for another highly addictive game coming out for your iPhone or iPod Touch. The new puzzle game is Nine Gaps 1.0, a highly addicting puzzle game that is quite simple to play. Just place the numbers from 1 to 9 in the missing gaps while matching the operations in the puzzle.

Sounds like an elementary type of a game but it is really close to the famed game today called Sudoku. The game was released by Quadion but promises more word new games to be released.

“NineGaps successfully demonstrates the puzzling nature of numbers and signs. This is a simple looking brain burning challenger.”, Kevin, iPhone Footprint

The NineGaps app is now available at the app store. You can download it for $0.99.

Oyaji Games is set to release Mecho Warriors for the WiiWare or DSIWare but it seems that the game has already been unveiled in the market via iTunes. While nothing is definite yet as far as what gamers can expect for this new game, any iPhone or iPod Touch owner may be able to share the game and rate it accordingly.

Just what is this new game about? Well it like any normal RPG we see today. It is a war between the worlds of the Winged Crusade and the Landians. Just like other games like Command and Conquer, it entails building your army and taking over cities and structures.

It comes with the usual single player campaign, a story about the rise of the Winged Crusade. The story takes place in a distant land known as the Divination Deserts. This is not your typical desert since there is plenty of water separating land masses. Mecho Wars features a unique day-night cycle where water will freeze overnight. Once inaccessible areas by land troops can be reached in the early hours of the morning.

The gist of the game proper seems enticing and for iPhone owners, it may be worth the time and download. Besides, many gamers love to be the first to get new games, especially this one which is not yet out of the market.

Mobile gaming is quietly growing in numbers and as far as Digital Chocolate is concerned, it looks like they have catered to the right market.

Three consecutive game releases — Crazy Penguin Catapult, Tower Bloxx, and Brick Breaker Revolution — have attracted a new category of gamers whose enthusiasm for these new kinds of games has propelled each of the Digital Chocolate offerings to the number one overall app download rank on the Apple App Store since January.

And, despite being live on the App Store for less than 100 days, Digital Chocolate’s five games - available in both free and premium versions - have been downloaded more than 8,000,000 times.

In celebration of its success, all five Digital Chocolate games are on sale for $2.99 each through the end of March 2009.

New games and new developments are what seems to be on the horizon for the iPhone. The iPhone OS 3.0 news from Apple unlocks many more opportunities for innovative game development for the iPhone.

Social Gaming Network has been planning for this moment for years and made huge strides with existing releases to achieve exactly what consumers have craved - and now Apple is responding. SGN has already pushed the boundaries with games for iPhone creating seamless game experiences across platforms.

SGN games that monetize through virtual goods with unique pricing structures evocative of the in-app purchasing capability just announced in the iPhone OS 3.0 Software Developer Kit are already available for iPhone including Mafia: Respect & Retaliation, Agency Wars and a proven model (fluff)friends on Facebook.

Synergies between SGN’s suite of games that have already delivered on Apple’s vision with iPhone OS 3.0 include:

  • A vision of creating immersive games with robust user pay models. From the beginning, SGN recognized that the only viable model would have to generate revenue from both advertising and user pay for in-game items or advantages.
  • SGN is positioned to excel at an even faster pace with over 10 million users of games such as iBowl, iBasketball, iBaseball, SGN Golf, Mafia: Respect & Retaliation, Agency Wars, iFun, and i(fluff) on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
  • With iFun, released in November, using the accelerometer technology in the iPhone, SGN could link the handset to a computer via wireless or 3G connection, making the iPhone into a Wii-like controller for the game.
  • SGN has leveraged the convergence paradigm giving users the ability to play games either on mobile devices or on a PC (through social networks).
