Since the Nokia 5800 NAM is fully working again, there’s no reason for not getting one. And we have just heard that Amazon’s Video on Demand service will be available on the Nokia handset. It will bring you over 40,000 movies and TV shows straight to your phone. Sure the screen might not be big enough to properly display your favorite shows but the service should really come in handy when you’re going to be bored to death on that long commute train. Over the air downloads aren’t available just yet so you’ll have to get your shows from your computer before leaving home.

You surely remember last week’s Nokia problems regarding the 5800 NAM version. The phone has bee pulled of the shelves of Nokia stores for further investigation and probably fixing. The 5800 NAM had a poor 3G performance and probably that hasn’t changed yet. Nokia hasn’t divulged the real reason behind the malfunction but it did say that
only NY and Chicago affected, in Dallas and Miami the devices are working OK. The investigation is ongoing on the device itself and the network used in these cases.
Well that’s a little weird in my book? Especially since Nokia isn’t willing to give us all the hot details yet.

It looks like the Nokia 5800 NAM is arriving tomorrow to Nokia US flagship stores. The phone should start selling after 3PM so if you’ve always wanted one, go grab it now. The 5800 NAM will cost $399 which isn’t a bad deal at all.
Nokia has failed to confirm the rumor but if I were you, I’d check in person tomorrow afternoon. And if you happen to get one, make sure you send us all the hot details.

After selling over a million units around the world, Nokia has finally decided to tap the States market after all and if the rumors are to be believed, the release date is right around the corner and Nokia’s first ever touchscreen cell phone could hit the shelves by February 26, 2009.
According to The Nokia Blog, the NAM-flavored, 3G-toting Nokia XpressMusic 5800 has already started appearing on some of the major distributors’ systems with a suggested price tag of $399, subject to change by the retailer or the carrier that will pick it up. While we all know that Nokia clearly has a winner with more than a million units sold, it remains to be seen if the North American version will do as well as its best-selling counterparts in Europe or be obscured by the upcoming N97.

Nokia might not be that strong in Japan but it’s doing rather well in other markets. How does Nokia do it? Well it must be the quality of their phones or something like that.
If you’ve never had a Nokia you might want to try it. The N85 or the NAM will be released in December, or next week to be more precise. That’s the North American version, so don’t be surprised if your country won’t get it yet.
The N85 is available for pre-order and it will cost $556. Interested? It will be in stock on December 6th on Amazon.
