Samsung has recently announced that they are gearing up to launch their N510 netbook next month for $599.

As with all of Samsung’s netbook offerings, the N510 could be looked upon as rather overpriced considering the ION platform it is based on only couples an Intel Atom processor with a NVIDIA 9400M GPU. However, it also features 1GB of RAM, an HDMI out port and an 11.6″ 1366 x 768 display so the price isn’t too hard to justify.

If you’re into this type of thing be sure to check back next month as we’ll keep you posted once a solid release date is made known.

Samsung are preparing to launch a new, 11.6-inch netbook called the N510 which will come with a 1.66GHz N280 processor.  The N510 will also use NVIDIA’s Ion graphics chipset, coupled with 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard-drive.  The usage of Ion will make the N510 capable of high-definition video playback. Competitors such as the Acer Aspire One 751, which have similarly-sized displays but use the Atom Z5xx series processors and standard netbook graphics which have demonstrated to be underpowered for HD content.

Some of the other Samsung N510 specs include WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth and wired ethernet, as well as an integrated microphone and webcam, multi-format memory card reader, Windows XP Home and a 6-cell Li-Ion battery. It wiil probably be priced at around €570 ($799).
