The Palm Pre adds another dimension towards its use thanks to DeviceAnywhere which has just announced that they have added the popular device under its line of touch-screen technology via the DeviceAnywhere platform. This means that the Palm Pre can now be used in the development of next generation applications, adding the new interface that should come in handy for companies into developing and testing mobile content.

The turn towards mobile device interface has become apparent and surely, the Palm Pre is no pushover. It is a device that has grown in popularity and being a great ally towards business needs and operations, this new technology promises to be one benefit that companies will certainly take advantage.

Developers can also run multiple activities at the same time, as the Pre allows for multitasking between different applications. Additional connections are supported including the use of email, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

The Palm Pre phone is available now on the Sprint network in the United States.

Android and webOS have something that the iPhone doesn’t. The iPhone doesn’t have multitasking yet although it’s a feature many people were waiting for. One more thing the iPhone doesn’t have is support for push notifications. That’s another feature many people were waiting for.

One problem for multitasking or push notifications for the iPhone might be the current hardware capabilities of the iPhone. A next-gen iPhone might however be able to offer those features. Since we’re already talking about iPhone 2,1, should we also consider iPhone 3.0 software? Are we to assume that iPhone 2,1 will come with iPhone 3.0 firmware installed?
