MSI is ready to launch even more netbooks. We showed you the U120 but MSI has a couple of new netbooks ready to roll out: the Wind U110 and U115.
The MSI Wind U115 is a 10 inch netbook, with WiFi and Bluetooth support and a 4-in-1 card reader. What’s surprising is the “hybrid storage” system which means you will have both a SSD and a HDD available. The netbook will be available either with an 8GB SSD/80GB HDD bundle or with a 16GB SSD/120GB HDD. As for processor, the U115 will come equipped with an Intel Atom Z530 processor.
The MSI Wind U110 will be similar to the U115 but it won’t have any SSD inside. You can choose from a 120GB, 160GB or 250GB hard drive. We have no idea about pricing and availability dates for the new netbooks yet but we’ll keep you posted.

We were expecting this whole nettop movement. After Asus and HP it’s time for MSI to roll theirs. The MSI Wind Box is a small computer which can be attached to the back of any VESA mountable monitor. Inside the black box there are all recordings of in-flight communication there’s an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, three USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi and Windows XP. France will get it for $254.
Why not get a laptop instead of a nettop? Can anyone give me a smart answer to this question? And leave the price out of it! Wonder what’s the next nettop to be launched.

MSI has a special unit made for the European market, the VR630 laptop. Strangely enough, it has an uncommon 16-inch screen which obviously makes its resolution unpopular - 1366×768 pixels - but the good part is certainly the 16:9 aspect ratio for movies and games.
In terms of processors, there are 2 choices: either an AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core, or a Sempron CPU. In both cases the RAM memory can go up to 4GB, but default is most likely 2GB. The graphics processor is powered by a GeForce 8200M G, and there are 3 options for the hard-drive: 160GB, 250GB, or 320GB.
An interesting application included on the VR630 is the ECO power management, which saves battery life depending on the mode that the user picked: Gaming, Movie, Office, or others.

After delivering one of the best netbooks out there, the MSI Wind, the company is launching a new EX310 laptop. It’s not a netbook mind you, it’s a 13 inch laptop.
Let’s take a closer look to the EX310:
Well this looks like quite a dependable laptop right here if I may say so. We don’t know what it will be priced or where and when it will be released but we’re certainly waiting for that.

LG is the newest mini-laptop creator out there. For some reason they want in on the Eee-like success business. They might just have what it takes to offer a decent mini-laptop out there. And they chose the perfect partners, MSI which might just be the best Eee competitor to date.
LG & MSI will combine their forces to create the first LG netbook, the X110. We are looking at a 9 inch panel, 120 GB, 2GB of RAM and the good old Windows XP in the shadows. That’s it? No ? GPS? After all LG knows how to implement such features.
Despite their intentions of making it in the mini-laptop business, LG will not create a cheap, affordable machine. They will choose a better design and material quality. A move like that will definitely push prices and it’s rumored an LG mini will sell from $625 to $790.

It looks like MSI and their Wind are taking the path to the Dark Side. Remember how Asus started pissing everyone off by labeling their Eee trademark on whatever gadget as long as it was small and computer related? We have the Eee mini laptop line, the Eee Monitor, the Eee Box, the Eee Stick. Are we to see the Wind Monitor, or the Wind Stick? Because the Wind Desktop PC is here.
I understand the need for a laptop to be really strong while really easy to move around. What’s the point in creating a really portable desktop? Besides dropping the price? I’m not going to take it with me am I? Sure I will get a few more inches of free space around my workplace, but do I really need it?
Let’s see what MSI has in mind for their Wind desktop line. The mini desktop should sell anywhere from $200 to $300 and it will be released in Asia and Europe in July while the USA will get it in September.
The full specs aren’t available for now but the Wind desktop should pack a 1.6GHz Intel Atom, up to 2 GB of RAM, up to 160GB hard drive, WiFi and a DVD drive.
Want one? Yeah, me neither!

I’ve been making a little fun of small laptops all day. Sure they are small, they are affordable, they are really mobile, they are pretty fast, but they are small. Here’s something that made me reconsider their power. An MSI Wind has been hacked and tricked into believing it’s a Mac when in fact it isn’t.
