Android is seriously sweeping the nation, and so it is no surprise that MOTO is looking to put it in their new MID. This device, known as the AMP (Android Media Platform) comes in three forms:

The first is a 5-inch version that will be equipped with a front-facing 8 Megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, multi-touch display, TI OMAP3430 processor, plus 256MB worth of flash with SD card reader. The 10.4 inch version also has the 8 Megapixel camera, multi-touch capacity, and it also has GPS and a 3 Megapixel camera on the back. Believe it or not, there is also plans for a 30 inch version.

All three of these should be out “by early 2010″, but there is no word so far on the price.

  • Motorola MOTO V10 Blue

Motorola has a new phone ready for you, the MOTO V10 Blue which might not impress you with any special features. Sure the phone Motorola has been extensively working on the design of the phone but that won’t suffice anymore. The flip phone will offer 2 screens, one external and one internal, Bluetooth connectivity, a 2-megapixel camera so if you’re not pleased with any of that then you’re probably not going to purchase the V10 Blue anytime soon.

SK Telecom will sell the MOTO V10 Blue sometime soon but we have no prices so far.

When Motorola’s original RAZR hit the scene it effectively took the world by storm. Consumers near-and-far were attracted to its sleek design despite it not featuring any ground breaking features.

Well here we are years later and the RAZR is still popular enough that Motorola has releases a LuK Hot Pink version for the South Korean market. Technology has progressed a bit, and so has this phone. The LuK Hot Pink RAZR will feature 7.2Mbps HSDPA, video call capabilities and Bluetooth.

Of course, it’s ~$400 price tag probably wouldn’t spurr up much interest here in the States but perhaps the Korean market will take to it better.

    Motorola’s New W7 Active Edition

    W7 Active Edition

    W7 Active Edition

As the name implies, Motorola’s new w7 Active Edition slider is aimed at those sporty types, with its built-in pedometer and personal trainer application. It appears that Moto is jumping on the accelerometer bandwagon with this phone since users can control functions on the phone with simple hand gestures:

Shake up your everyday phone experience by controlling MOTO W7 using simple hand gestures, taps and flicks. Flip the phone over to silence the ringer of an incoming call, snooze the alarm clock or pause the music. Shake twice to instantly launch your favorite application, such as the music player. When showing off your photo albums or music libraries, flick the phone right or left to move between songs and images.

The Moto W7 also features a 2.0 megapixel camera and it runs on a 3G network. It appears that only customers in Latin America and Asia will be able to use this in the foreseeable future.

  • We have talked about the new Motorola handsets just a few days ago but today is time to pay special attention to one particular cell phone. It’s the MOTO W233 Renew phone I am talking about. It’s a candybar phone made entirely from plastic derived from recycled water bottles. That means your future Renew phone will be entirely, 100% recyclable. Want more eco-friendly features? This phone is also the first carbon neutral phone. Motorola happens to offset the carbon dioxide required to manufacture, distribute and operate the phone by investing in various renewable energy sources and restoration. After extensive product life-cycle assessment, Motorola’s partner, Carbonfund.org has awarded the Renew the CarbonFree® Product Certification.

The Renew won’t have all that smartphone features although it would be really cool to see a 100% recyclable smartphone. However it will offer you nine hours of talk time and CrystalTalk technology. The phone comes with a postage-paid recycling envelope which means you can return it at any time for recycling it at not cost.

Interested in an environmentally friendly phone? T-Mobile will deliver the Renew later this quarter.

    Moto W755 on Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless has added one more cellphone to their big catalog, it comes from Motorola and is known as W755. It isn’t one of those top notch cellphones that you’d expect, it is more of a “music cellphone”, much like Nokia Xpress Music.

Since playing audio is its primary function, the Moto W755 has touch-sensitive controls placed its face, and supports the following formats: AAC, MP3, MIDI, and WMA V9. Thanks to the connectivity features of Windows Media Player 11, you can sync the cellphone with your PC.

The storage solution used in this case are microSD cards with a maximum capacity of 4GB. The Motorola W755 is priced at $70.

    Motorola MOTO Z6w

    MOTO%20Z6w1.jpg

In spite of their announcement that they’re thinking of selling their cell phone unit, Motorola has unveiled three new handsets in this year’s Mobile World Congress. The first one is the Motorola MOTO Z6w, a device focused on mobile connectivity. The MOTO Z6w is both GSM and WLAN compatible, which widens the coverage for wireless coverage. The device has the ability shit between one connection to the next without interruption even if you’re in the middle of a phone call. The Motorola MOTO Z6w has a 2-megapixel camera and is capable of capturing 14 fps. It plays music using Windows Media Player 11, features a high-speed USB connection, Bluetooth connectivity, MPEG-4 video playback, and microSD card slot for up to 4GB cards. This slider uses Motorola’s EasyPair technology, which makes synching with other devices a cinch. The Motorola’s EasyPair will be available starting Q2 2008 in molten gray color as you see on the picture.
