A portable Xbox 360 isn’t the most inspired thing you’d want to do but if you absolutely need to play Gears of War 2 while travelling then you’d probably love an Xbox 360 laptop.
The device in the picture is a fully working Xbox 360 laptop created by Ben Heckendorn. This is the fifth version of the laptop and here are some of its most important features:
- Built-in Ethernet port, finally.
- Built-in WiFi adapter, as usual.
- Digital pushbutton volume control rather than a clunky knob. Different, better sounding audio amp
- Flush-mount DVD door and side panels (such as the memory card slots)
- IR sensor for the remote control.
- Two user USB ports.
- More air holes
- 17-inch Gateway 1775W screen
- Jasper motherboard.
What do you think? How much would you pay for it?

Netbooks are all about modability these days, what with the Acer and Asus models getting all sorts of little trinkets stuffed into them. Now, Dell Mini 9 joins in on the fun, with one user stuffing a USB GPS receiver inside the netbook’s case.
As expected, he has provided images and instructions for other users to do the same to their nice, little computers. However, you’ll need quite a bit of computer savvy to carry out the process; you’ll also void your warranty in the process… and will probably get addicted to watching that GPS dot move while you are in the backseat of your car.
Go ahead, you know you want to…
