In case you’re not a Safari Mobile fan you’re probably looking for alternative solutions to go online from your iPhone. Well we have some bad news for you. Apple wants you to use its browser. Opera Mini hasn’t been allowed into the App Store which means you won’t be able to get it working on your iPhone or iPod touch yet. Will it be available for jailbroken iPhones? Opera fans will certainly be waiting for that to happen.

Although it was initially scheduled to be released two days ago, the Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta launched today. You can download it and test it out as long as you have a Windows Mobile 5 or 6 powered touchscreen-only smartphones.
The two days delay was caused by the discovery of some bugs which needed to be taken care of prior to the release.

This is a happy day. Mozilla Firefox is my favorite browser and I’ve gone though some while searching for a better and better one. It was time they went mobile. Why not use the same friendly browser both on your PC and your smartphone?

iPhone Waters Your Plants Now


Since it has been released, I have always considered the iPhone a very innovative and a very useful solution to a multitude of our daily activities. This smart phone is meant to make communication even easier than it already is. So it didn’t came as that a big surprise when I found out that someone uses the iPhone to water their plants.

And here’s how it works: whenever Mobile Safari changes position from horizontal to vertical, a web server picks this up and via a javascript program it moves the can up and down. So if you are going to buy the new 3G iPhone, instead of selling your first generation one you could simply set it up to do such chores around the house.

I wonder if there’s a javascript for collecting water in the can once it’s out? Could an iPhone bring water to it?
