Due to security reasons, India has issued an order to ban all pre-paid mobile phones in Kashmir. Apparently, these pre-paid mobile phones were being used by militants for other means such as using them to trigger bombs and hide their identities. Launched in 2003, these pre-paid mobile phones are said to be the reason for some attacks since they are easier to get a hold of compared to post-paid mobile handsets which require a more scrutinized check before they are issued.
Other regions suffer the same ordeal since getting a pre-paid card and a mobile phone can be done easily. With this move however, countries such as the Philippines may do well to follow India’s lead to counter terrorists attacks which make use of technology for all the wrong reasons.

If rumors are true, Verizon Wireless may be coming out with another mobile phone with the LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 this October. Originally posted by Dax a couple of days ago, the LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 carries an entirely different look compared to the much publicized LG Chocolate BL40. Most of the striking features were already covered in that post although one rumored addition was the presence of a drum pad and keyboard. With this add-on, people can whip up their own beats!
The features laid out for the LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 are indeed tempting to consider. And most of the features can be finally verified come October 18 once Verizon officially rolls out the phone. No word on the retail price though.
