Samsung Electronics unveils another mobile handset in the Samsung S5500E Lydford, an eco-slider phone encased in a blue casing with special eco features. First off, the phone and packaging (made of recycled paper and soy ink) is made from recycled materials.

Add to that the fact that unlike most phones, the Samsung S5500E Lydford even comes with an alarm that alerts you when the battery is full during charging times. This feature is a great highlight considering that most people today we want to save on energy. Also, this helps in preserving battery life and keep it from being overcharged.

For the standard feature of the Samsung S5500E Lydford, it has a 2.2” QWVGA screen, a 3 megapixel camera and of course the eco-sliding keyboard. No word yet on the date of release and pricing for the Samsung S5500E Lydford eco-slider handset.

  • Rarely would you see a mobile handset that can cater to dual-boot capability but it seems that Sunno is making that believable with their new Sunno S880. A dead-ringer for the Sony Ericcson Idou, this mobile phone boasts of a 3.6” WVGA display and a built-in 8 megapixel camera.

The Sunno S880 phone also comes with WiFi and GPS as well as an 806 MHz chip. But the real highlight of this phone is the dual boot. It can flip between the Microsoft and Google OS which is obviously catchy thing about it.

The Sunno S880 will reportedly be released on October 15. Pricing was not disclosed although it looks like the Sunno S880 mobile device may not even reach the borders of North America or Europe. Apparently it seems t be made for use only in China.
