As it was hinted a while ago, the 20GB XBox 360 wen on sale for $299. Microsoft has been clearing up inventory for the next 60GB edition to arrive. A rumor at that time, the price cut turned out to appear as predicted.

Sony Ericsson and GlobalFun have struck a 5 year deal. They will offer content for the PlayNow Arena and provide Fun & Downloads services. The Swedish company creates mobile games for a living and they will probably fit in perfectly with Sony Ericsson’s needs.

While we are waiting for official stuff from Sony Ericsson, GlobalFun went ahead and started to comment on the deal.

Bertil Krumnack, EVP Sales & Business Development at GlobalFun says:

We have since the beginning of our business aimed to provide our customers, of which Sony Ericsson is a highly valued one, with high quality premium content. This appointment serves for us as a proof that our strategy on content acquisition and account management has been and still is the correct one.

    Marcus Johansson, GlobalFun CEO:

The trust that Sony Ericsson is showing us by appointing us as one of two content acquisition partners is very flattering. We will do our very best to exceed the expectations in this area and to continue to grow our mutual business.

Think about Sony Ericsson’s last handset dedicated to games, the F305!. Hopefully GlobalFun is just what the doctor ordered for Sony Ericsson and their games collection. After all, everyone plays a game or to while on the go.

  • Speed Racer on Mobile

This isn’t the first time a game based on an upcoming movie has hit the small screens of cell phones, and it definitely won’t be the last. But this by far is my favorite of all time, being a long time fan of Speed Racer and his arch enemy, the mysterious Racer X.

Jill Braff, Senior Vice President of Glu Games said, “We’re really proud of the job our studio has done to develop a white-knuckle racing game on par with the level of quality that the Wachowski brothers expect. We’re excited to be able to put this experience in the hands of consumers in anticipation of the film’s debut.”

The game will pit the players against other popular racers from the anime series including Racer X and will feature advanced graphics and 3D screens. Players get to drive the Mach 6 and utilize “Car-Fu,” to take on the extreme tracks and obstacles with a unique gaming experience.

The game is already available on various networks across the world and will continue to be launched worldwide concurrent with the film’s release date, which is May 9 in the States. Go, Speed Racer, Go!
