HP has launched a new laptop called Mini 311. As you can guess by the name, this is a mini notebook with a 11.6-inch screen, that makes use of the ION platform made by Nvidia.
The Mini 311 supports a 1366×768 resolution and comes with an Intel Atom N720 processor at 1.6GHz, plus 1GB of RAM, and a hard-drive of 160GB. The 6-cell battery should be more than enough for a couple of hours working non-stop, while the built-in camera and microphone are a must in nowadays laptops.
The laptop is priced at $400 and will become available on the following weeks in 2 different versions: with XP Home OS, and Windows Vista.

We have already seen the Mini 3i smartphone from Dell but we return with more pictures depicting Dell’s first phone. The phone has gotten the hands on treatment somewhere in China and, as you can easily see, it was already measured up against the iPhone. And from the looks of the screenshots here it looks like the Mini 3i was already officially shown somewhere in China. What do you have to say Dell? Is the smartphone coming soon or are we totally wrong?

We already know that Nokia has a Mini version of the N97 in the works. We’ve seen pictures of the rumored device but it’s only now that the FCC has officially outed the phone.
Will the N97 Mini be more popular than its older brother? Will it be more affordable? That’s probably Nokia’s intention but what features of the original phone will the Finnish company have to sacrifice to lower the price? From what we see in the picture here the phone isn’t that small compared to the N97 so “Mini” probably stands for something else.
We’ll be waiting for Nokia to officially unveil the new device while we wonder if any U.S. carrier will decide to include this N97 version in its future lineup. What about you? Interested in a Nokia N97 Mini?

The Nokia N97 is Nokia’s flagship phone, a handset with lots of potential but a handset that might not be available to everyone especially due to its current price tag. That’s probably why Nokia has considered introducing a cheaper Mini N97. And it looks like this Mini version has already been leaked to the press. From what we can see so far in these pictures, the N97 Mini is a little smaller and a little slimmer than the regular phone. But not that mini! We have no idea when this new Nokia phone will arrive and how much it will cost, but we’d definitely like to see what’s inside this cheaper phone.

We heard earlier this week that Vodafone Ireland could sell a different N97 version dubbed as the Mini. The phone should be cheaper than the already launched N97 and you can expect it not to have the same cool features. That means a smaller screen, less memory, slower processor. But we can’t guarantee any of that since Nokia isn’t telling us anything yet. The Mini will arrive later this year and should match the current prices of T-Mobile’s G1. Vodafone hasn’t denied the rumor which means there’s a chance for Nokia to actually launch the Mini soon. The Irish Times is saying that “O2, Meteor and 3 Ireland all said they intend to sell the N97 but none was able to provide a launch date or expected pricing.”
What would you choose between the N97 and the Mini version? How much would you be willing to pay for it?

We all love a good rumor from time to time and we have stumbled across quite a few Vodafone-related rumors for you. First off it seems that there’s a Nokia N97 Mini which will be launched by Vodafone sometime soon. The Mini version should be cheaper but the truth is that there’s no official news yet about such a phone.
Besides the N97 Mini, Vodafone is said to also sell the BlackBErry Storm 2 later this year and as for the Palm Pre it seems that a different carrier will pick this phone up exclusively.

The new HP Mini 110 is a 10″ netbook has been reported by some to be “the company’s best netbook for consumers yet”. The Mini 110 earns points for its excellent keyboard and additional ports over the earlier generation Mini 1000. However it does lose praise for the awkward mouse buttons and the increased weight from the last gen model is disappointing.
The fact that HP has dropped the Mini 1000’s edge-to-edge glass display is also met with disapproval. On the up side, there is good use of some of the extra space as there are now three USB 2.0 ports and a standard VGA port. At $329, the Mini 110 is reasonably priced and if you tack on another $40 you can upgrade to the 6-cell battery (3 cell is standard).

The thing with rumors and hidden sources is that you can never know exactly who’s telling the truth. Yesterday we heard that the Palm Eos will be released by AT&T. Today we hear the Sprint will have it too in the third quarter of the year. Sources within Sprint have confirmed such a device and the said handset is in testing as we speak. Maybe by tomorrow T-Mobile will also have a version of the Eos scheduled for release this fall. will the Pre arrive from any other carriers? We’ll keep you updated!
And on a different not the Eos could very well wear one of the following names: Mini Pre, Pixie or Castle.

I don’t know what phone is currently hotter than the Pre so this might just be a silly rumor right here. It seems that Palm is interested in launching a smaller Pre version sometime later this year. Is this Palm’s way to respond to an eventual iPhone nano threat? Or should we call it iPhone lite and expect Verizon to unveil it?
The Mini Pre might be scheduled for a third quarter release and we’re probably going to see Sprint selling it too. The phone will obviously come with webOS on board and it will probably sport Pre-like features. So far this year only Samsung has released a smaller version of one of it’s phones. The smaller Instinct is already available from Sprint so there’s no reason why other companies shouldn’t follow this trend. Would you fancy a Pre Mini?

If you’re not looking for an Android phone like the HTC Magic we’ve just seen then could you be more interested in an Android tablet? GiiNii is going to launch one in October. The Movit Mini will have among other things a 4.3-inch resistive touchscreen, a camera, built-in microphone and Bluetooth connectivity. Basically it’s almost a phone isn’t it? The good news is that it will cost less than an iPod touch although there’s no exact price yet. If the Mini is not good enough for you, then you should be waiting for January when a 7-inch tablet, the Maxx, will be coming out.

A new Instinct is coming from Samsung, the S30 which is a compact version of the initial phone. In case you are wondering, the phone in the picture here is the Instinct Mini, a handset we have talked about in the past. The phone hasn’t been officially unveiled yet but Samsung has conveniently slipped the picture above. Samsung is probably anxious to release it since the Pre and the new iPhone are coming this summer. Are we to expect it to arrive from Sprint like its bigger brother? Should we count on a release real soon?

Need a gadget for recording voice on your iPhone or on your iPods? This tiny Mini Microphone in the picture here has that ability. The microphone costs only $14.99, a price which makes it the cheapest microphone created so far for the iPhone or the iPods. And it’s supposed to be quite easy to handle too. Simply plug it in and get some software to record voice. You will be recording your thoughts in no time.

Mac Mini 2009 Edition - video powered by Metacafe
The new Mac Mini photo we’ve shown you a few days ago is said to be counterfeited but despite all of that the video here shows a Mac Mini very similar to what we’ve seen in that picture. The Mini case is identical to the current desktop. It has the same aluminum skin, white plastic top and slot-load optical drive. It has 5 USB ports, a Mini DisplayPort, a mini DVI port and a FireWire 800. As for inside features, the new Mini is expected to sport a 2GHz Core 2 Duo with a 1066MHz system bus, 2GB of DDR3 memory and a SATA SuperDrive. Of course we have no official prices and no arrival dates yet. What do you think? Is this the real Mini?

Sprint will be offering its customers quite a few cell phones during the following months and I am not talking about the Pre only. So let’s see what the rumors say, shall we?
The Palm Treo Pro will launch around March 15. Yes, that’s right, the phone has been delayed again so we’re not sure what will happen with it. The Rumor 2 from LG is scheduled to be available in black and blue starting with the middle of March. The LG LX370 slider should arrive in April or May. The Samsung Instinct Mini is a smaller, slimmer Instinct which Sprint will launch on April 19. What’s the matter Samsung, did you buy into all that iPhone nano rumors and created a nano Instinct? The HTC Cedar is a QWERTY candybar phone which will arrive sometime in June. But we’re all going to be craving for a Palm Pre from Sprint, no matter how interesting some of the devices I have already mentioned are.

Although Asus invented the netbook concept as we know it today, I wouldn’t mind playing with one of the newest netbooks announced by some of Asus’ competitors. The HP Mini 2140 Notebook PC is still a netbook.
It comes in an aluminum case, and idea that seems more appealing to laptops manufacturers and it can weigh as little as 2.6 pounds. The 2140 Mini will get you a 10.1 inch diagonal scratch-resistant HP Illumi-Lite LED display, a full QWERTY keyboard which is 92% of the usual notebook keyboard, and a few hard drive solutions to choose from, including an 80GB SSD. The Mini 2140 still relies on an Intel Atom processor to do the job and it will feature WiFi and Bluetooth support and a built-in VGA webcam.
And here’s why you should consider checking a new HP product before making a purchase: the 2140 will feature HP DuraKeys or a clear coating applied over the keyboard to protect the finish and printed letters and characters; the HP 3D DriveGuard which uses a three-axis-digital accelerometer to shut down the hard drive upon sudden movement or shocks; and the HP Panel Protection System which gets you that scratch-resistant LCD.
What else do you need? Well how about some patience and at least $499 to get your HP 2140 later this month when it will be available.

For those of you waiting for the latest Mac Mini from Apple, you might be in for a nice surprise. The new Mini will feature dual display suport which means that you will get both the Mini DisplayPort connector and the Mini DVI connector. Previous versions lacked dual display support but it was just a matter of time until Apple decided to include it.
We heard that the Minis will be using the GeForce 9400M chipset which will allow the support for that DisplayPort. Such a thing wasn’t possible with the current Intel GMA 950. But enough with the suppositions! Macworld is near and it will reveal both the new Mini and the new iMacs.

The new Mac Mini is supposed to arrive soon but it looks like it has already been leaked over. The picture here shows the smallest desktop in the world. First of all is that what I want? The world’s smallest desktop? What about getting a small laptop which also happen to be a really small, tiny desktop?
And what’s up with the lid? What’s cooking inside? Am I to open the Mini at any time I’d want to, you know, just to have a look inside? I imagine this is the first leaked image of the new Mini and we imagine it will be followed by others soon. Apple didn’t say anything about this one yet.

Remember the newly launched HP Mini 1000? Well now it comes with mobile broadband. You can choose either a Verizon Wireless EV-DO modem or an AT&T HSPA modem. The WWAN upgrade comes with a mandatory 1GB RAM and 60GB hard drive purchase. That means you’ll be paying $199 for the modem and $50 for the extra hardware. The total for the Mini 1000 with mobile broadband comes to $650. A little too much but that’s what you will have to pay to have that permanent Internet connection.
