Toyjector mini-projector

Miniature projectors are starting to catch on, and here is a new one from Tokyo-based company Princeton. It’s pretty clear from the name Toyjector that this one is targeted at the younger crowd, or that it is just small at 50mm cubed.

It can produce images at 300 x 224 resolution with 100:1 contrast ratio and 5 lumens brightness. That might not sound too good for you, and the sound is a mere 1 Watt. At least it has a Tripod, and is available in red and white. The price is about $150, and it can be purchased in Japan or the Japan Trend shop, as well as Geek Stuff 4 U.

  • Well you’ve seen the video, what do you think? Do you actually need this feature embedded in your current smartphone. As you might already know there are various mini-projectors to choose from and we did show them to you earlier on. I could think of lots of reasons for not having a DLP projector inside my phone but then NTT DoCoMo will tell you otherwise.

It looks like the Japanese carrier has a DLP phone projector which would use a LED light source in order to project a 20-25 inch image across the room. How many time will you say “Wait honey, I have the projector with me! I know it’s somewhere inside this phone. Sure we can look at all those wedding photos… again!”

    MPro110 Pico Projector from 3M

Pack your pico projector and your netbook and go deliver that keynotes wherever you want. When it comes to choosing a netbook you have lots of options. They are all similar pieces of hardware under different brands. But choosing a pico projector is actually more difficult as there aren’t that many on the market.

3M has a new pico projector ready for launch. It’s the MPro110 we’re talking about. It will cost you just $359. Not a bad price right? The only things missing are the built-in speakers and the brightness. 3M will ship the pico projector starting with September 30th.

We’ve seen our share of really small projectors and it’s Toshiba’s turn to release one. Their Pico projector is scheduled to be released sometime early next year. The official announcement is expected at the next CES. Toshiba’s Pico projector will be able to project a 60 inch screen despite being as big as a cell phone. You’d want one of those wouldn’t you?
