As you probably could have guessed there is little to no information regarding this device’s North American release date.

Nokia’s new Internet Tablet, the N900, looked great in those press shots but now that we’ve gotten a glimpse of how it works, it looks even better. In fact, the N900 might just be the hottest phone / MID / Internet Tablet Nokia launched so far.
The video above shows you a thing or two about that new Maemo 5 interface which already looks a lot better than Nokia’s current Symbian S60 5th Edition OS used in its current touchscreen phones. The N900 will be launched sometime in October so you have plenty of time to decide whether or not to get one. But would you pay the full $860 to own one?

Although landlines are getting less and less popular we still use them to communicate in various situations. So why shouldn’t we get smarter desk phones? Why shouldn’t we be able to enjoy an Android-based regular phone?
It looks like Cloud Telecomputers is thinking similar thoughts as the company has announced a new platform made for desk phones. Glass is the name of it and it is based on Android. That means you get to play with an Android-based MID/cord phone which will have features similar to your favorite smartphones.
The phone will offer you an 8-inch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, Android apps support, Outlook support and lots of features that you don’t normally see in a cord phone. The new device will be available in the first quarter of the year and it will cost anywhere from $599 to $699. Anyone excited yet?

Yesterday we showed you an Android powered MID that looked shockingly like something Apple’s hardware designers would think up even though we knew the guys in Cupertino had nothing to do with it. At the time it was spotted, the entire Internet was confused as to what the device actually was.
Today, however, it looks like the internet may have figured out what the device actually is; the MID-560 from SMiT which we’ve included a render of, above. While it’s not confirmed the above device is the same as the one we saw yesterday but it’s 800 x 480 resolution, 533/667 MHz processor, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card still make it a highly sought after device. We’ll just have to wait until live shots of the MID-560 are released so we can compare the two.
Unfortunately, the chances of it ever hitting the market outside of China remains slim to none.

What you see above is an Android-powered MID that is leaving pretty much the entire Internet clueless. We’ve heard absolutely nothing about it, no name, no prices, no release dates, nothing.
However, if and when the ~4.5″ device does make its way to shelves all I know is that I definitely want one. Pocketables says there are to be 2 buttons on the top of this MID along with an SD slot for added storage.
On another note, slap a Mac OS X screen shot on there and you have yourself a perfect mock up for what an iTablet might look like.

It’s again time to talk about tablets and we don’t mean Apple’s upcoming iTablet. Today we’re talking about Dell’s future gadgets which include a MID, a smartphone and apparently a touchscreen tablet. What’s more interesting is the fact that Dell is planning to offer said tablet for free when future customers sign up for a contract or for “one or more digital media subscriptions. As you already imagine, details about Dell future gadgets are pretty scarce so far but people say Intel will be working together with Dell in order to launch the table in about six months from now.

Sure Apple’s fabled iTablet is probably still a ways off so why don’t you check out Viliv’s X70 EX Premium 3G that recently went on sale in Hong Kong.
This touchscreen device features a 7-inch 1024×600 display, an Intel Atom 1.3GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and a 32GB SSD. But if that storage isn’t enough, Viliv has thrown in an SDHC port for expandability. Furthermore, the device will feature WiFi, optional 3G, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS and Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system.
GadgetMix says the device is currently priced at $890 which is probably more than most are willing to pay for such a device.

Besides that WiMAX connectivity the Mondi will offer you WiFi connectivity, a full QWERTY keyboard, multimedia features, GPS navigation, turn by turn directions, Opera 9.5 and a 4.3-inch touchscreen.

Inkia International have revealed their latest 5-inch and 7-inch OEM MID models, each offering Intel Atom processors, 800 x 480 touchscreens and up to 32GB SSDs. The 5-inch model has a choice of Atom Z510, Z520 or Z530 processors, each with the US15W chipset, and measures 6.2 x 3.7 x 0.86 inches; weighing 12.3oz. There’s no word on availability or pricing as we don’t even know if this exists yet. We’ll be sure to keep you updated. As for a Dell smartphone? There was no mention.

The gadget above is CTD’s Dragonfly MID concept which is actually more than a very portable MID. Unfold it and you get an actual laptop. It has everything you need: a full QWERTY keyboard, a LED backlit LCD and a Microsoft OS (Windows XP to be precise). The company will use a Moorestown chip inside and one of the most attractive features could be an all-day battery. Unfortunately we have no idea if and when the company will launch the Dragonfly but we wish them lots of luck with actually creating it.
