Touchscreen is the craze these days and Casio has the iPhone to thank for coming up with their new concept. Although we have seen such a concept in the Sony Ericsson P990 series some years back, it seems that new phones today require it if they want to be noticed.
Casio may not be a major player in the mobile business but it has its own device competing for positioning. The Casio CA001 is a touchscreen phone that also allows keypad interface as well.
The Casio CA001 looks like a typical clam shell phone or a touchscreen input phone. It also features a 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and a microSD slot. Buttons along the side of the phone suggest that Casio is gearing up for the music capabilities of this phone. It is also capable of wireless music playback with the right headphones.

Here is something that critics say is a mobile phone to help students in studying. Perhaps what they were referring here was the online portal which provides preparation for the CAT, ITT along with a couple of other exams that most students are prepare for.
Aside from that useful feature for students, the Spice S940 comes with the usual features like a 2 megapixel camera, FM radio and the standard text messaging and voice calls.
Based on the features this phone has, it can also pass as a good entry-level phone. So technically, it is a phone that even adults can consider, sans the much focused online education portal of course. Too bad it is only available in India.
