The Android Market might have some great news for Android apps developers. It could start accepting paid apps this week. Is Android prepared to fight the all-too-famous Apple App Store? Will it have similar success? Will Android users embrace the new paid applications? Are paid applications better than free apps? We might get answers to some of these questions starting next week. The 3G iPhone was expected to sell well and it did. Despite activation problems and stock depletions lines were constant at AT&T and Apple stores. People bought 8GB models but they were happy to get a 16GB version if nothing else was available. The same thing happened abroad. While most news covered the US situation, other countries played by the same scenarios. In three days the 3G iPhone sold worldwide. Over 1 million handsets were sold and the App Store had about 10 million application downloads in the same period. So how much money did Apple make in the first three iPhone days?

Sony will unleash the PSP in a new, Deep Red color package for the Japanese market. Starting December 13, the PSP Deep Red value pack will start selling for ¥22,800 (around US $199), while a slightly bundled up package called the PSP Deep Red Seg pack will retail at ¥29,800 (US $260). Showcased during the Tokyo Game Show 2007 in September, the PSP is now only 91 grams and 4.4mm thick. With the PSP-on-TV function you can enjoy games and movies stored on the PSP on a big screen.

If you throw in the extra money for the one-seg tuner, there’s also the possibility to watch up to 12 different channels on the PSP’s 4.3 inch screen. For data transfer and convenient charging, the PSP offers a USB interface. The Value pack comes with a pouch, wrist strap and 32MB Memory Stick Duo, while the Seg pack comes with the TV tuner and stand along with 1GB stick.
