AT&T is hot right now as we keep getting details about future phones the carrier will launch. Shouldn’t they focus on keeping the buzz alive around the iPhone 3G considering that Sprint is playing with the Pre these days?
After the HTC Lancaster, which will be AT&T’s first Android phone, now we have a bunch of BlackBerry smartphones headed to AT&T. These are the Magnum, the Onyx, the Pearl 3G and the Gemini. We have no release dates available so far and we’d also love some prices for these upcoming handsets.

What phones is RIM preparing for this year? Do they have anything good enough to fight against the Pre or the new iPhone? We’ve just heard new code names which should only mean new BlackBerries are on the way.
The Onyx and the Magnum are supposed to be released by AT&T while the Driftwood will arrive from T-Mobile.
The Magnum is said to have the following features:
The Onyx will be similar to the Magnum but there won’t be any touch support for it. The Driftwood is also a new Berry which will probably have features like the Magnum or the Onyx but we’re waiting for confirmation from RIM, AT&T or T-Mobile.

Well we have this weird picture up here. It’s a 3G Bold/Storm/Javelin phone with a touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard. It’s supposed to be called the Pluto but it might as well be called the Magnum, or maybe even both.
The new RIM device is likely to be announced sometime in May 2009 at the WES. The Magnum might just be the mix between the Bold, the Curve 8900 and the Storm. The Magnum is rumored to be smaller, faster and, well, touchier? There’s no point in guessing here. We need some serious leaks people! Any RIM associates that care to elaborate on this matter?
