In the multimedia department the LG cellphone has a 3-inch WQVGA display and a 5-megapixel camera. In the inside you can find a 528MHz processor a and slot for microSD cards, as well as WiFi.

Strangely enough, one of the latest LG cellphones has been recently seen on the Ukrainian market for the first time, instead of any other country in the world… Anyhow, the LG LG KM555E will feature a big touch sensitive screen and a resolution at 240×400 pixels.
This LG model is a quad-band GSM but unfortunately it doesn’t support 3G network. To take photos there’s a 3-megapixel camera, and to listen to music you can use the FM radio or mp3 songs on the memory card.
The exact release date and price details are not known so far, and rumours mention a possible 3.5mm jack for the multimedia specs of the LG KM555E.

AT&T is a serious company and it will not stand being made fun of. Sure in this case being made fun of means actually losing a few million dollars. AT&T has filed a suit in San Francisco against LG, Samsung, Chunghua, AU Optronics and others claiming that they all conspired in order to raise cell phone LCD prices exactly when the carrier purchased 300 million handsets. That’s surely not nice and if AT&T were to win, we can expect the defendants to pay a lot of cash to the carrier. After all, it’s not the first time LCD price-fixers would pay for their wrong doings!

There’s a new watchphone in town and it’s not coming from LG. Made by Kempler & Strauss, the W PhoneWatch is even smaller than LG’s GD910 watchphone.
The device comes with a touchscreen interface, 4GB of storage space, microSD support, music and video players, camera with video recording, Bluetooth support and quad-band GSM. The PhoneWatch is available for $199 without a contract. That’s certainly a great price for an entry-level watchphone.

LG working together with a wireless testing firm called Anite has completed the first LTE conformance test of LTE phones with both older networks and new LTE networks. The test is pretty important since it assesses how new handsets will handle in actual conditions where an user will be able to use both LTE and 3G services with a single LTE device. The testing also confirms that future LTE devices will work well with “older” 3G networks whenever LTE connectivity is not available. Now we’d just love to see some of those LTE devices out in the open. After all, they will work well on current 3G networks too! Right LG and Anite?

Did you like LG’s first Lotus phone? In case you did, then you’ll be happy to know there’s a new LG Lotus 2 in the works. The phone is rumored to sport a touchscreen display and could be available from Sprint stores in January 2010. We have no specs for now and no pricing information but we’ll be back as soon as LG starts leaking info about the handset. Curiously enough the phone hasn’t been mentioned in that roadmap that leaked earlier this week so you could end up waiting a while until you get your Lotus 2. But then again, if you didn’t like the Lotus in the first place then maybe the Lotus 2 is not for you.

We’ve been waiting for a few months now to see LG’s Android phone, the GW620, become official. Although no North American carrier will launch the GW620 is supposed to officially debut in Europe by the end of the year. And it looks like it has already been spotted on French territory and captured on video. The phone will offer you a 3-inch resistive touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 3.5mm headphone jack. And if Motorola has MOTOBLUR on top of Android, LG made sure its proprietary S-Class UI will work well under Android conditions too. We don’t have pricing details just yet but at least we can see the LG GW620 in action.

I have to admit that the cellphone in the picture here is certainly an interesting concept. The LG Burst is a projector cellphone which could replace current netbooks in certain ways. As you can see the phone acts as a simple touchscreen phone but things can get a lot more complicated if you so desire. The Burst should come equipped with features like motion sensors and pico projectors which would be able to lay in front of you a screen comparable in size to the displays found in current or future netbooks and tablets. Other features would include a touch-sensitive keyboard, support for video conferences, HD capabilities and various media editing tools, and last but no least, features that would help the deaf and hearing impaired make the most of the phone. We have no prices and availability dates just yet as this is just a concept for now.

Korean customers will be able to select two new handsets from KT in the near future. One is the LG Lilac, but the most interesting one is the Samsung Prism, a WiMAX-enabled phone which could find its way to Sprint soon.
The Prism will offer WCDMA, WiFi and WiMAX connectivity which means you’ll definitely be able to enjoy decent data speeds. We’ll be waiting for more details about the Prism once KT, or Sprint, will announce it.
The LG Liliac is the other phone coming from KT, and although it’s not WiMAX enabled it will do just fine in a 3G network. Just like the Prism, the Liliac remains secret for now, but we’ll be waiting for more specs to emerge soon.

Remember that GW300 phone from LG which we showed you a while ago? Well this BlackBerry-like phone will be available in the UK from O2 and Orange. The price hasn’t been officially announced yet but you should be able to get it for a pretty good price, if not free, with new contracts. The GW300 comes with a 2.4-inch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1, 2-megapixel camera, 10MB of internal memory upgradeable up to 4GB via microSD cards and some extra features like Facebook app and LiveSquare.

Don’t look so surprised by that number! Windows Mobile 6.5 is coming and it looks like there are quite a few phone makers ready to roll phone capable or running Microsoft’s newest OS.
