Matching cellphones with cartoon characters is not a usual practice unless we’re talking about Hello Kitty, but that is another story… What Samsung wants to do is interact with the fans of Mafalda (from the comics) and provide them with a styled cellphone.
The 3G Samsung L770 will become available at Orange in the near future, and thanks to the 1-year and a half contract the mobile device costs zero. In case you don’t remember, the L770 was first launched in Russia a couple of months ago, during August.
This special Mafalda-only version is limited to the production of 5,000 units, and has a 2Megapixel camera, an interesting music player, FM radio, bluetooth, and more.

Let’s go back to discussing more Samsung phones released during the MWC. This one is the Samsung SGH-L770. It’s another Samsung phone with a mirror finish; a feature they seem to have explored quite liberally for their MWC phones, if you haven’t noticed. The Samsung SGH-L770 is a Quadband slider phone with both GPRS/EDGE and 3G with HSDPA support capabilities. Measuring 102 x 48 x 14.2 mm, it has a 2.1-inch QVGA TFT LCD, with 2 megapixel camera, and Bluetooth and USB connectivity. There’s no official price on this baby yet, but word on the street is that it would be somewhere around ~US$400 and would be available starting April.
Another pic after the jump.
