Korean customers will be able to select two new handsets from KT in the near future. One is the LG Lilac, but the most interesting one is the Samsung Prism, a WiMAX-enabled phone which could find its way to Sprint soon.
The Prism will offer WCDMA, WiFi and WiMAX connectivity which means you’ll definitely be able to enjoy decent data speeds. We’ll be waiting for more details about the Prism once KT, or Sprint, will announce it.
The LG Liliac is the other phone coming from KT, and although it’s not WiMAX enabled it will do just fine in a 3G network. Just like the Prism, the Liliac remains secret for now, but we’ll be waiting for more specs to emerge soon.

Looking more like a digital desktop calendar more than anything else with its pyramid-like shape, the upcoming “Style” from Korea Telecom has features that can put any other internet phone to shame. Its large 7-inch touchscreen display is equipped to act as a video/music player, a digital photo frame, a widget holder, and also facilitate video calls (using Video Response System instead of the usual Audio Response System) aided by the stereo speakers. There’s about a gig of memory crammed in and the Style can provide up-to-date information on weather, stocks, news, and traffic, not to mention basic online money transactions.
The Style VOIP phone is expected to be available starting this March in Korea for 200000 KRW (about 150), which actually seems to be a fair price considering the features it offers.
