It’s not the first time we mention a Frontier notebook on the Kouziro line, and I bet it won’t be the last because the Japanese company is always coming up with good products at reasonable prices.
With that being said, the latest Frontier netbook is codenamed FRNU302/BK and will cost approximately $510. In the inside you can find an Atom N270 processor, 1GB of memory RAM, and a 945GSE Express Chipset. The LCD display screen measures 10.1-inches which is what makes it a netbook. There are 2 options for the hard-drive - 120B or 160GB - and 3 options for the operative system - Microsoft XP Home, Microsoft XP Pro, or Vista Home Premium.

Japan has its own contender against the MacBook Air. Presenting Kouziro’s Frontier line of ultra-thin lightweight machines. The one you see on the pic is its flagship entry model. The sub-notebook weighs a mere 1.24kg, runs on an 800MHz Intel A110 processor, and features 12.1-inch LED-backlit screen, Windows XP Home OS, 80GB hard drive, smartcard slot, fingerprint reader, waterproof keyboard, and 1GB of RAM. It also has multiple ports for a multi-card reader, LAN, USB, PC Card slot, and D-sub monitor connection. The first model in the Kouziro Frontier notebook series costs $1,250, which a few hundred bucks cheaper than the MacBook Air.
