Remember when we talked you about the Kogan Agora netbook? We were wondering if the netbooks will be really created since the Android Agora phone was nowhere near completion at the time. Well the Australian manufacturer managed to actually deliver a netbook. It’s a 10-inch netbook which comes with an Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB of storage space, a 3-cell battery and gOS. Should you chose the PRO model you will be able to double the RAM and battery size. The netbooks will cost $320 and $355 respectively and they should be available in Australia sometime next month.

While its Android smartphone is not ready yet, Kogan seems also interested in netbooks. And these aren’t usual netbooks, but Linux-powered machines. The 10-inch netbooks should arrive soon for a price of around $530. Inside you’ll find an Intel Atom processor, 160 GB of HDD, 1GB of RAM and Linux of course. So will we actually see this Linux netbook or is it as real as the Agora phone?

The Kogan Agora hasn’t been launched yet, but it seems that the folks behind it are working hard to make it happen. The phone is not ready to be commercialized just yet and it seems that Kogan is considering that full QWERTY keyboard with a touchscreen. That’s going to be a large, 3.8-inch screen ready to welcome your fingers. There’s still no official release date of the Agora but we’re going to keep you posted on its development.

While LG has announced its partnership with Microsoft, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will not create smartphones running other OS. And rumor has it that LG plans to release three Android phones by the end of the year. One should arrive by June while the other two should be announced in Q2. Unfortunately we have no idea what LG will actually launch but we hope they will have better success at designing Android phones than Kogan or Samsung did so far.

We were sorry to find out that Kogan’s Agoras were cancelled until further noticed but we hoped the company will find the means necessary to launch the phone at some point in the future. And it looks like this Android phone is going to live again!
But the Kogan Agora will definitely be redesigned. A brand new model is in the works which should be launched sooner or later. We hope sooner than later! The new Kogan Agora should fix those app compatibility issues which kept the original from being launched this month. Any hints on what to expect in the final version?

I mean it couldn’t be an Agora! Kogan announced that the Agora Android phones were postponed until further notice. So what is this handset right here then? It looks like an Agora and it’s available for sale. And it’s called the “Shining”. That name seems awfully familiar! Are we to expect Jack Nicholson to pop out of it with an axe in his hands? The price is $240 if you buy 100 of them. Definitely these phones aren’t the real thing but it’s surely good to know a Kogan Agora phone could exist. And if some Chinese manufacturers went through all this trouble to copy the Agora, it must mean that the Agora might just be a goon enough Android phone. We’re kind of sorry this Android hasn’t seen the light of day yet but we’re counting on Kogan to change that.
