Here is an iPhone app that should be useful for aspiring musicians. Called the Riff Raters app, musicians can share and record original riffs up to 20 seconds via their iPhone or iPod Touch with any instrument they like. They can also edit riffs with reverb and trimming tools to be able to get the sound they are looking for. Once finished, they can post their short riffs to Riff Raters and see if it can make it at the top of the charts.

The Riff Raters app for the iPhone or iPod Touch is now available at the iTunes app store for $1.99.

GoGift has made life easier for registered users at their end with the announcement of the GoGift iPhone app. This app is a free application and will provide up to date information on their “Contributions Report”. The app is ideal for those who have created a registry and is quite easy to use. Shrek Kart Game App for iPhones

Shrek is back! But not in a starring role though. Rather, Shrek and his friends are on a different mission, to become the Kingdom’s Fastest Kart Racer via the Ye Grand Tournament. This is the first time that iPhone and iPod Touch owners can get the chance to play as Shrek, as a Kart driver going up against the likes of Donkey, Fiona, Puss in Boots or Pinocchio. Shrek Kart Game can be played in single or multiplayer mode and boasts of unique karts which you can ride along 15 different tracks.

The app is now available at the iTunes app store for $4.99.

Flixster offers an app suited for the movie goers, especially the ones who needs some info on what is playing on the big screen. The app is Movies by Flixster made for the iPhone and the Android which should come in handy as far as finding out what is showing and which cinemas are near your place. It makes use of GPS to list the cinemas nearest you and even allows you to search them by name.

Or if you are aching to know when a new movie of your choice would start showing, you can always search by title, actor or any keyword related to the film you are looking for. Each film also includes a link to watch the trailer right on your phone. The Movies app is now available at the iTunes app store. Only U.S. films are shown with this app.

We’re really tired to see this weird game between Apple and Palm. It was a little funny at first but we should expect to see this mind games occur every now and then. Here’s how it works: Apple launches a new iTunes version that happens to block the Pre out and then Palm comes up with a solution that will allow iTunes synching again.

Apple has a new iTunes version available and naturally, Palm Pre owners won’t be able to use it, at least for the time being. Version 9.0.2 was launched this week and it’s still too early for Palm to release an iTunes syncing solution. The simplest thing you can do is not to download the upload and keep using your old iTunes version with your Pre. What do you think?

    The new iTunes terms & conditions have a new paragraph which reveals more details about Apple TV 3.0. You’ll be happy to know that Apple TV 3.0 will offer support for iTunes LP and Extras viewing as soon as it becomes available. These features will be available only on those computers running iTunes 9 or higher and Apple TV 3.0 or higher.

    Apple announced the iTunes LP format back in September and in case you forgot, iTunes LP will let you access a lot of bonus material about your favorite artists. iTunes Extras does the same thing with movies so you’ll probably enjoy both features once they become available. We have no idea when Apple TV 3.0 will become available but we’re expecting it to arrive soon.

    The timing of the release of this app couldn’t have come at a better time! Cyoshi Games has announced the availability of the Scary App – The iPhone Prank which pretends to be a skills test where users will have to navigate a silver marble through a wooden maze by tilting their iPhone or the iPod Touch.
