Macally is a popular creator of accessories for mobile devices, mp3 players, laptops, and other units, but their most recent release is related to the iPhone and iPod.
The product is called Macally FMport, and its main function is to provide a way of listening to music via your car radio system, or on your home audio system – all thanks to the iPhone and iPod. It’s obvious that the device can also be used as a charger for both Apple devices, and a remote control is included.

For those of you who just need to have an extra cable for their iPhone/iPod, you might want to consider the FlipSync from Scosche.
This guy costs about $20, and it is essentially an iPod/iPhone cable in keychain form, designed to be whipped out whenever it is needed. It should be out sometime in the first quarter, and Scosche also intends to have similar cables for other smartphones as well.

This isn’t the first time that we have reported on some sort of solar powered charger for mobile devices, and the Solar Surge is specifically designed for the iPod Touch or iPhone 3G or 3GS.
The Solar Surge uses photovoltaic energy so it keeps the phone fully charged, and won’t drain energy more than it is needed. Yes, it takes 2 hours in the sun to give you 30-60 minutes, but that is usually as good as solar chargers get. Anyway, it is available at $70.

The Kensington Nightstand Charging Dock is designed for iPod/iPod touch users who use their favorite mobile device as an alarm clock. Yes, I use my cell as an alarm, so why not have a device devoted to it?
It comes with an app to give it an old-school flip clock experience, and it even has a weather function. It serves as a charger, and is compatible with both the 4th generation Nano and 5th generation iPod. You should be able to get it for about $31.98.

What you see above was taken from a patent recently filed by Apple for a universal iPhone/iPod dock of sorts. If you’ve purchased an iPhone or iPod you know that they come with a plastic dock adapter, well this product will do away with the need for that.
The magic is in the base of the dock which is made of sponge like material that will conform to the shape of whatever device you are using it with. What’s even better is the sponge will remember the shape of the device for future use.
Unfortunately this remains just a patent and there are currently no known plans of bringing this thing to market.

Yes, the user essentially pulls a string to make power for a mobile. The YoGen is compatible with many devices including cellular phones, nav units, portable gaming systems, PDAs, MP3 players, e-book readers, and Bluetooth headsets. Supposedly, it works with the iPhone, but my source says otherwise.
You can order the YoGen here for about $40.

Yes, those headphone wires on our iPods have been the bane of our existence since the beginning of this decade. Yes, it is possible to go wireless with Bluetooth, but the i360 has a simpler solution. All you need to do is just put your iPod Shuffle or Nano in this specially made headband, and you are free from wires. The controls are on the left so you can pause, or go forward or rewind on your playlist.
I have included a video by the inventor that you can view after the jump, and you should be able to get these specially made headwear at prices starting at $39.99.

It can also charge keep the iPhone alive through a “trans-Atlantic flight”, but it requires four hours of charging for that. You should be able to purchase it on the Hammacher Schlemmer website for about $129.

I have been happily enjoying a sweet pair of speakers sent to me by the crew out at V7 for the last couple days now, and I’ll tell you this much, these are flatly awesome.
The V7 A320Ps are computer speakers designed to easily hook to your laptop or desktop by plugging directly into your computer’s headset jack. They also have to be plugged into an outlet as they’re externally powered. You can also use these with your CD player, iPod or other MP3 Player–pretty much anything that has a headset jack to plug into. They also come with a three-year limited warranty.
The sound quality out of these things is absolutely unbelievable, I tried them out with about ten different movies of various subject matter on my laptop, and the end result was, in every case, fantastic. They put out a shocking amount of sound, and do it for the shockingly low price of right around thirty bucks.
So I’m definitely enamored by these speakers–sure, you can get better out there, with subwoofers included and whatnot, but these two speakers by themselves will definitely put out plenty of power for your desktop or laptop.

Many people have been quite disappointed to find out that the latest iPod touch didn’t carry a camera and naturally, everyone assumed that the next-gen iPod touch will be coming with a camera on board. Recent rumors say that this next-gen iPod touch with a built-in camera is coming sooner than expected. In fact we might see it in stores as soon as Spring 2010. Unfortunately that camera won’t be an iPhone-like camera but rather a crappy iPod nano-like camera. We’ll just have to wait for Apple to confirm the rumors before we jump to any conclusions. But what do you say? Anxious to replace your iPod touch with a one that has a camera?

Check out this Wall of Sound. If you use a magnifying glass on the bottom right corner, you can see the iPod.
That’s right, this is an iPod dock to end all iPod Docks. It is spiffy 3×4 foot frame that weighs about 225 pounds, capable of putting out 125 watts of pure 40 Hz-20 kHz frequency response sound. It is quite expensive at $4,500.

Yes, Apple has put out a slew of new products with the new MacBook, iMac, Mac Mini, and Magic Mouse, but lets not forget an update to the Mac Remote. It is reported that this remote will have the same all-aluminum coat that is on the newest Mac products, and it is designed to control the iPod, iPhone, or Mac with play/Pause, menu, volume and track skip buttons.
It is compatible with any Mac introduced 2005 or later with integrated IR receiver, but you will probably need a $49 iPod Universal dock for the iPod or iPhone.
