Apple Launches the iPod nano 5G

The much expected iPod nano 5G is finally here. Apple has sold 100 million nanos so far so it’s no wonder they’d like to improve the player. So what will the nano 5G have to offer? Here’s a quick rundown of specs:

  • Video camera
  • YouTube support
  • Bigger 2.2-inch display
  • Polished anodized aluminum
  • Microphone and speaker
  • Voice over
  • FM radio
  • Built-in pedometer
  • Storage: 8GB/16GB available for $149/$179

What do you say? Are you pleasantly surprised? We knew the cameras were coming and the new nano looks better and better.

With all the new phones AT&T revealed over the past few days we started to miss those iPhone rumors which are characteristic for this period of the year. But the WWDC is almost here folks and back are the rumors. Now we hear that Apple will announce no less than six new iPhone versions and a whole new iPod nano.

The new iPhone will be available in 16GB and 32GB versions and it will support different radio protocols: 3G, enhanced 3G and TD-SCDMA. You do the math and you will end up with six different versions.

The iPod nano rumor is a bit strange since nobody is really waiting for a new one. It looks like the new model will bring you a 1.5:1 screen, an integrated digital camera and a smaller click wheel. What we are expecting is a new iPod touch which should be similar to the new iPhone in specs. But let’s wait for facts, shall we?
