Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin mini iPod dock

You’ve got to admire the look of Bowers and Wilkin’s Zeppelin Mini iPod Dock, and the folks of iLounge had a chance to check it out.

They liked the space-saving curved body, as well as the mirrored top surface. They also noted that the volume and power buttons had been relocated to an inconspicuous place in the bottom right edge. The unit itself costs $399 and is compatible with the iPod 4G, 5G, classic, mini, nano, touch, iPhone, and iPhone 3G/3GS.

  • Regen’s Reverb is quality iPod dock

The Regen Renu is one impressive solar powered iPod dock, but the Regen Reverb is all the more.

Granted, it is no Wall of Sound, but it is three feet tall and does 60 watts worth of power. It takes 20 hours worth of the sun’s rays to give it a full charge at full volume, and 12 hours at normal volume. It does cost a pretty penny at $2,229.

  • Wall of Sound is one impressive iPod dock

Check out this Wall of Sound. If you use a magnifying glass on the bottom right corner, you can see the iPod.

That’s right, this is an iPod dock to end all iPod Docks. It is spiffy 3×4 foot frame that weighs about 225 pounds, capable of putting out 125 watts of pure 40 Hz-20 kHz frequency response sound. It is quite expensive at $4,500.

  • Table of Sound iPod Dock

It doesn’t get bigger than this! While most people are still looking for big surprises in small packages, the bigger docks can only deliver the thunderous sounds from your iPhone or iPod Touch. And if you are in the market for one, check out this Table of Sound iPod Dock, obviously one of the biggest docks there is in the market today. The Table of Sound was created by Wondering Boys where you can connect iPods or even MP3 players via the regular mini jacks supported. This Table of Sound is incidentally a finalist in the Designboom Sound Innovation competition.

XS-SR3 iPod dock from JVC Victor in Japan

I’m not sure what sort of aesthetic that the XS-SR3 from JVC Victor in Japan is supposed to appeal to, but you have to admit, the speakers look rather…unusual. This iPod dock is a two-cradle 2.5W speaker system, with an analog input, digital input, a remote control, and Virtual Dolby Surround support. By the way, it does not work for the iPhone, but it does work for portable TVs, DVD players, or gaming system.

Here is a handy add-on for your iPhone or iPod Touch, especially if you want to share some fine tunes for a party or event. Normally, iPod docks would be the solution, but impromptu events make it impossible for a person to know when he or she would need to have a iPod dock in tow (unless they REALLY bring it along with them wherever they go!).

The PodXtreme for iPhones or iPods is a handy add-on you can bring with you without worrying about tagging along something bulging in your pocket or bag. With the PodXtreme, you can immediately share extreme sounds and fill any room with deep and rich sounds.

The PodXtreme for iPhones or iPods is available over at Gadget Universe for only $29.95.

  • What you see above is SendStation’s latest iPod dock entitled the PocketDock Line Out Mini USB. As you can see, this thing isn’t much bigger than a penny but includes a few highly sought after features.

First and foremost, it features a mini USB port for use with charging so you can do away with the Apple’s proprietary charging cable. Additionally, the dock has a 3.5mm headphone jack that reportedly makes for better quality sound when used with an amplified device.

SendStation’s PocketDock Line Out Mini USB iPod dock is available now for $29.95.

  • iHD171 HD Radio from iLuv

iLuv, the company that adds a bit more flavor to Apple products, is taking the dock game up a notch with the unveiling of its latest product, the iHD171 HD Radio.  While its predecessors, the i168 and i169 HD, were great docks in their own right, the iHD171 HD brings many more innovative features to the table, expanding the iPod and iPhone’s functionality to new horizons.

iHD171 HD Radio is compatible with both generations of the iPhone and almost all generations of the iPod and takes care of the basic dock functions like dual alarm clock, AM/FM tuner, and TV output to watch videos from an iPhone/iPod on the telly.  This, in combination with other awesome features like CD-quality HD radio, one-touch iTunes tagging, and jAura Acoustic Speaker Technology, makes it the perfect dock to wake up in the mornings to the user’s favorite song on his iPod/iPhone or the plain old annoying buzzer.

Look for it at the upcoming CES 2009 or wait for its availability on iLuv at $199 later this month. (more…)

I don’t know why you’d want your G1 connected to an iPod dock but it’s possible. Sure HTC failed to insert a 3.5 mm headphone jack in the G1 but that’s no reason to connect it to an iPod dock. Look at the picture here! The whole thing is just too messy for my taste. And you’d have to know your wires in order to make the whole ensemble work. As an alternative you could always turn your computer on and make it play your favorite songs.

What are you playing your music with? Any kind of iPod? Or are you one of the only two million Zune players sold to date?
As the iPod became more and more popular and Apple sold millions and millions of variants of this attractive product, third party developers became interested in manufacturing products which will improve your iPop experience. JBL On Time 200ID System iPod Dock

JBL_ontime.jpgA new iPod dock as been presented by JBL in CES 08. To differentiate itself from the myriad other iPod docks available, JBL is touting it as a “time machine.” The JBL On Time 200ID focuses on the time-keeping aspect of the iPod. The loudspeaker dock could be used as your alarm clock. You can now replace your radio alarm with the loudspeaker and wake up to your favorite iPod track. It has a backlit LCD for navigation through a user-friendly interface. Docking versions for the Touch, Nano and Classic will be released. However, a stereo jack will enable connection to other MP3 players, even the Shuffle. The device will be available this winter of 2008 with the suggested retail price of USD$199.95.

“The integration of devices to deliver a superior experience is what the new JBL On Time 200ID system is all about,” said Christopher M. Dragon, director of brand marketing for the Harman Consumer Group Mobile, Portable and Companion Products Division. “There are many clock radios with iPod docking capability, but none with legendary JBL(R) audio quality.”
