All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

Just yesterday it was spotted that the Palm Pre is now selling for $99 with a 2-year contract on Sprint. Today, we get confirmation that Verizon will in fact be selling Palm’s newest handset for their service early next year.

This news comes to use from an investor conference call that went down earlier today where they also announced that most of their earnings are up compared to last year.

However, the call wasn’t all good news as Verizon has stated that due to a 21% drop in profits they are going to cut close to 8,000 workers. Bummer.

Nokia Partners with Obopay

Mobile payments are now a common trend and Nokia, the world leader in mobile communications, has just invested in Obopay in a resounding endorsement for Obopay’s ongoing innovation in mobile money technology.

“This investment is a landmark in the evolution of mobile payments. It underscores the global potential of mobile money by providing convenient access to money anytime, anywhere. Given Nokia’s position as the leader in mobile communications, we could not have asked for a better investor,” commented Obopay CEO Carol Realini.

Obopay will use this minority investment to aggressively extend their product suite and enhance their global presence, as mobile devices become constantly more integrated into the daily lives of the world’s 4 billion mobile consumers.

Access Wallstreet from your home with the NasdaqQ3 Home Trading Terminal Concept and you save a lot as far as trying to make your way towards a cramped stock trading center. Also, with your very own terminal at home, traders can monitor and make their calls on the various stock options with this device.

On the other hand, if you are an investor who feels that your fund manager may not be reliable, it is a good device to have as well so you can do your own trading. Designed for overworked Wallstreet traders, Allen Liu designed this home trading terminal to ease the infusion of work into home life.
