What you see above is Packard Bell’s recently unveiled 15.6 inch EasyNote Butterfly m notebook that first made its debut at this year’s IFA.
Spec wise this device features an yet-to-be announced processor, up to 640GB of hard drive space, up to 4GB of RAM, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 GPU, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi and a multi-touch finger pad.
Unfortunately this announcement only detailed the European release (next month @ €599) and failed to notify us of a North American launch.

That’s right folks, the phone in the picture here is LG’s first Android phone. The Etna has been spotted in Germany at the IFA trade show so we can already take a look at it. The phone will offer you a generous 3-inch touchscreen display, a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity. From the looks of it the phone will be available in Europe from Vodafone but we don’t have any availability dates yet. We’ll be waiting for LG to properly launch it and reveal all the hot details about it. It’s too early to choose but what do you like best? The HTC Hero or the LG Etna?

The B3410 may not be the smartest phone on the block, but when it comes to messaging, the QWERTY-toting slider does seem equipped to hold its fort. Caught at the IIt measures a thin 15.9mm and crams a 2.6-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, what could be a 3.2 megapixel camera, and Bluetooth. The phone will run Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface, but that’s not new. What’s new is a preinstalled app called BT Messenger, which can bounce messages back and forth with other Bluetooth-enabled devices in its vicinity, which is a cool feature and bound to save a lot of money when sending/receiving messages in your classroom. No details on pricing or availability, but we’ll let you know when those details emerge.

While you wait for Apple to unveil its upcoming tablet you might as well take a look at Toshiba’s multimedia tablet. The JournE touch has been launched at IFA and it’s a 7-inch tablet, only 14mm thick and weighing under a pound. The tablet comes with 1GB of built-in storage space, SD support, HDMI and USB connectivity, support for a wide range of codecs, WiFi support and Windows CE 6.0 Pro.
Sure Apple’s tablet will probably top everything that this JournE touch can offer, but if you’re willing to try it out, the tablet will be available in the fourth quarter for 250 Euro.

Earlier today we notified you of the Vaio X’s existence but weren’t able to secure many pictures of the device seeing as it was announced so recently. Now, however, our friends over at Netbook News have gotten their hands on Sony’s device at this year’s IFA only to give us an in depth look at it.
As mentioned earlier, this device is extremely thin at just 14mm and is rumored to feature an Intel Atom processor making for an extremely long battery life.
No official word of a release date but it will reportedly ship next month coupled with Windows 7.

In terms of hardware specs we still don’t know much other than that it features an Intel Atom processor thus grouping it into the netbook category.
