If you want a Motorola i9, that’s what you’re going to get. The phone is heading to Sprint stores and Nextel stores are going to get the i9 on March 12. The phone will cost $249.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. What do you think? Is the i9 worth all that cash? Or would you rather get something different for the same amount of money?

The iDEN ready BlackBerry 8350i Curve has been released by Spring Nextel today and coincidentally the same day Motorola i9 pictures appeared around the web. The phone should be released soon by Sprint Nextel as this is another iDEN ready phone.
The i9 is a clamshell phone which will feature a 3 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, ModeShift and GPS and push-to-talk services. Feeling lucky? Will it be released before Christmas? We are yet to find out!

A new Motorola cellphone has been spotted at FCC, it is codenamed i9 and has the unique characteristic of being a iDEN handset. What is iDEN? Integrated Digital Enhanced Network, which basically provides more individual frequencies to the phone.
In case you haven’t noticed, the i9 is pretty similar to other Motorola devices, in this case the RAZR. It has Linux-Java as the operative system, and includes a 3-megapixel camera with auto-focus, a slot for microSD memory cards, and stereo Bluetooth for high-quality sound.
Extra features on Motorola i9: a navigation system also known as GPS, and a working mode similar to the iPhone:
