Wirefly, America’s trusted source for mobile phones and wireless service plans, has announced the expansion of its product offerings to include netbooks. Wirefly is now the first online retailer in the country to sell netbooks with embedded 3G wireless service from both Verizon Wireless and AT&T, presently the only two mobile-phone providers in the U.S. activating these mini-notebook computers.
Once on Wirefly.com, consumers are able to compare netbooks and 3G services offered by both Verizon Wireless and AT&T, to decide which best fits for their needs and can then purchase and activate their new ultra-mobile PC. Initially, Wirefly.com will offer the Acer Aspire One with AT&T 3G service and the HP Mini 1151NR from Verizon Wireless, with prices starting at $49.99 with a new two year contract. The company plans to expand its netbook line-up as AT&T and Verizon Wireless continue to build up theirs. For more information go to: www.wirefly.com

Sure as clockwork, Verizon is now offering the HP Mini 1151NR netbook, which seems to be a great alternative to squinting at small cellphone screens to view your emails. The price also seems better than what a smartphone would command, with the Mini 1151NR going for $199.99 after a $50 rebate on a 2-year Mobile Broadband contract, or a 1-year contract which rounds up to $299.99 after rebate. Not much considering that the netbook has EVDO Rev. A, quad-band GPRS/EDGE/GSM, and triband HSPA/UMTS support, running on a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of memory, and 80GB HDD with a large 10.1-inch display. Head over to Verizon to get your netbook fix.

The first netbook is coming from Verizon on May 17. The HP Mini 1151NR will be offered for $199 with a 2-year contract after some rebates. You should expect to get a $40 or $60/month contract. If that’s not a problem for you and you’re looking for a new netbook then, by all means, get this baby when it comes out next week. In case you’re getting your broadband Internet for somewhere else then you should consider other netbook choices.
