All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

As if there aren’t enough devices slapped with that cute little face already, news has now come in that the Touch Star, which recently crossed its 5-million mark in sales, will fall prey to the pink-bowed feline.  But rest assured that the S5230 remains unaffected on the inside and carries the same 3-inch touchscreen display, microSD support, 3.2 megapixel camera, and widget support with the same aplomb.  Luckily, the Hello Kitty version of the Samsung Star will be available only in Belgium going for 169 Euros (a little over $248), but you never know where the Kitty might turn up next!

Hello Kitty new Nettop

We’ve mentioned Hello Kitty a high number of times - such as the Parachie Paradise iPhone app, or the iPhone knckoff, and even the HK keyboard - but this time we’re talking about something different: a stylish and well designer Hello Kitty nettop.

The small laptop boasts 1GB of memory RAM, plus a SATA hard-drive with 160GB, plus a GMA950 graphics card, and lastly a normal Atom CPU. The objective of the Hello Kitty nettop isn’t being top-notch in terms of technology, the real reason for its production is basically the thousands of fans that love this strange cat cartoon character.

Hello Kitty fans out there we have another collection item for you. This time it’s a phone and it’s coming from Sony Ericsson. The W395 Hello Kitty Edition looks cute and it’s ready to be purchased. Don’t expect this version to come with any extra features besides the pink paint and the famous kitten on top of it. The phone is currently available in Hong Kong and it will cost around $200 plus round trip plane fare.

Xbox 360 Wears Hello Kitty

We have one more item for your Hello Kitty gadgets collection. The Xbox 360 in the picture here is wearing a genuine Hello Kitty design all over it. Unfortunatelly there’s no controller to match it but I’m guessing one should arrive soon. Unfortunately the Hello Kitty Xbox mod isn’t announced for sale anywhere and you’ll probably going to have to contact the manufacturer if you want one.

That’s right boys and girls, the phone in the picture is a Sony Ericsson F305 and it has that famous Hello Kitty painted all over it. Besides the white and pink case we don’t know yet what other modifications this Hello Kitty Edition F305 might bring you, but it would be fun if it came with some Hello Kitty preloaded content.

The Hello Kitty F305 is headed to Russia but we don’t know how much it will retail for. Other markets might get it too, so better ask around, maybe your carrier is going to bring it to you.

Hello Kitty Keyboard

It’s our friendly Kitty that appears again. I bet Hello Kitty lovers already have lots of gadgets branded with it but there’s nothing wrong in completing those collections with one more piece. Well it’s a Hello Kitty Keyboard, what did you expect? Every key costs almost a dollar.

We have a new Hello Kitty for you gals and girls. It’s the C1 Netbook which has the whole Hello Kitty mark on it. Like any other netbook it weighs under 3 pounts and it packs a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive and a 10.1 inch display. Two USB ports, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, 802.11b/g WiFi and the usual Windows XP Home complete the specs’ list.

But unlike any other netbook, the C1 has Hello Kitty written all over it. That’s why it would cost you no less than $890 to get it. Too much you say? I agree!

Remember that cute cat, Kitty White or Hello Kitty, which inspired various themed gadgets over time? And as long as they were mobile gadgets we have shared them with you and we will keep on doing that. In the mean time we’ll have to wish Hello Kitty a very Happy Birthday this Saturday when it turns 34. And I must say it looks years younger!

Sanrio Digital has organized a special celebration for the cat, in the Hello Kitty Online MMORPG. That’s a massive multiplayer online role-play game. If you have time to spare and you like such games, then you’ll have to try it. The game is currently in beta and it will be turned off on November 8 so it can be properly finished.

And we’ll be waiting for the next laptops and cell phones with a Hello Kitty kitty strapped on them.

Hello Kitty Portable DVD Player

We have already covered a couple of Hello Kitty devices, like a DJ speaker, a phone, a laptop, a lighter, and to finish the list in style the last item is a portable DVD player made by Sanrio.

The Japanese company decided to shape the player with the kitty’s face, and put a 7-inch LCD screen in the inside with an average resolution of 480×234 pixels. It can play the following formats: DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R, CD-RW, and normal CDs in case you want to listen to some music.

The battery is powered by 200mhA, and can last two hours and a half.

Hello Kitty Action DJ Speaker

Hello Kitty gadgets are always fun to encounter. I wouldn’t buy any of them if given the chance but they make me laugh. This Hello Kitty Action DJ Speaker is available for $25 for all those interested in a funnier speaker. The kitty moves following the rhythm of your music player.

If you’re into Hello Kitty it’s a must have item. It will go well with the other Kitties you already have around your room. And don’t deny their existence!

Hello Kitty Phone

We happen to come across a Hello Kitty gadget once in a while and it’s always a pleasure to check it out. This time we have a Hello Kitty phone to inspect. It’s a perfect gift for friends with great sense of humor and even children.

The Hello Kitty phone has Bluetooth, touchscreen and a 1 megapixel camera. Not that bad for a toy phone. The mp3 player will change music when the device is shaken. Now just picture yourself in a business meeting, all suit up, wearing a Hello Kitty phone. That would seal any deals!

I’ll lay down some specs and then we can discuss the notebook I am about to show you guys!

What we have inside is a Hello Kittycustomized white case (we have two models, not to get bored or something)

  • one Intel Celeron 540 at 1,86 Ghz
  • one 1GB RAM.
  • one 80GB hard drive
  • one DVD drive
  • one Firewire
  • 3 in one memory card slot
  • one 15.4 inch WXGA screen with up to 1280×800 resolution
  • one thousand four hundred something dollars

That’s the Hello Kitty laptop I’d never buy. I have laptop problems right now but I still wouldn’t like it. The price is too high for what it offers. I’ll take the case which is cute at least and do a major hardware change over.

That’s a Epson Endeavor NJ2100 if you were wondering. My bad, it’s actually a Hello Kitty Epson Endeavor NJ2100. Would you buy it?

Let’s deviate from our usual mobile phone topic and talk about world peace. The world would be a much happier place if we could all get along and all the wars would see their end. But who would think something as cute as Hello Kitty would be on such an unlikely object such as a rifle?! According to the designer, riflegear.com,

Well, in the “spirit” of the California Assault Weapon Ban I decided to do my best to alleviate the fears of my fellow citizens and gun-banning legislators when I put together a new AR-15 for my wife.

Just imagine anyone using this in a real war. I bet the enemies would run with their tails between their legs at first glance. Screw laptops and mp3 players. I want the Hello Kitty rifle for Christmas.
