USB 3.0 has been in the making for some time now and yet we still haven’t seen an actual consumer-ready implementation of the technology.
Along comes ASUS and debuts their P6X58 Premium motherboard touting none other than USB 3.0. In addition to the updated USB port, you’ll be getting 3 USB 2.0 orts, Core i7 compatibility, 6 DDR3 RAM slots, 3 PCI-Express 2.0 slots, and everything else you’d normally see on a motherboard.
Unfortunately there are no release dates or price points announced but if previous reports stay true we will see this thing hit the market before the end of the year or early next.

And stay tuned, because we’re going to have some retail stores opened up that are opened up right next door to Apple stores this fall. Stay tuned, just stay tuned.
Apple has a wide array of different products that they have developed in house while Microsoft is mainly a software developer. What exactly will these retail stores hold? Perhaps mobile phones, laptops and desktop PCs from different manufacturers?
Let the war begin!

The rumormill has one again begun, this time hinting at a release date and price point for Apples much rumored “iTablet” . News comes to us from the China Times that says the Tablet will be shipping ot the public for $800 this October.
Additionally, they have told us that Foxconn, Wintek and Dynapack will be the device’s primary manufacturers. Make note that back in May, Wintek was the company whom supplied Apple with a bunch of 9.7″ touchscreen displays, see a connection?
Let’s just hope that we get an official announcement from Apple soon so we can lay these rumors to rest once and for all.

Despite Apple keeping the iPhone 3G S‘ hardware pretty effectively under wraps, it seems that T-Mobile Netherlands didn’t get the memo and posted up the above picture.
As you can see, the iPhone 3G S’ processor has been bumped up from 412MHz (found in the 3G) to 600MHz. As for the RAM, it’s been increased from the 3G’s 128MB to 256MB. Everything else, we already knew, 3MP camera with autofocus, video camera, 32GB capacity etc.
So, it looks like Apple’s claims of everything being at least 2x faster hold true at least judging from the hardware. We’ll have to wait until we get our hands on the phone to pass judgement.

SSDs are fast, yeah, and they aren’t too big either however, InnoDisk evidentally saw room for improvement and went ahead and unveiled the above 128GB nanoSSD at Computex 2009.
To show off the new hardware’s resistance to vibration, InnoDisk set up a booth where they had it attached to a motherboard that was being vigorously vibrated (video above). Given this things size, who is to say we won’t be seeing these appear in high end cellphones at some point in the future?
Maybe a future iPhone? Apple, are you listening?

We first learned about the Asus N10 back in September and at that point, we had only known about 2 models.
Well, a recent FCC listing is pointing towards 4 models with some none too shabby specs, a 1.6GHZ Intel N270, 2GB of RAM and varying harddrive capacities.
The real treat, however, is the fact that select models (unspecified) of the netbook will feature a Nvidia 9400M GPU, along with an HDMI port, as opposed to the lesser 9300GS.
Sounds like the N10 is shaping up to be a media center in a very small package.

Are we ready for those new Motorola handsets? We know that Motorola and Verizon have planned quite a few phones for 2009 and some of them look great in pictures. The phone here is the Motorola Inferno or Torch. We’re not convinced they’re holding to either name since some people refer to it as the Blaze 2 or Krave 2. Whatever their going to call it, it’s still the sequel of the Krave ZN4.
Hardware trials are going to start next week and we hopefully by then we’re going to get some feature details and prices for the Torch.
