The first Nokia slider phone in North America is now available at PureMobile.com. The Nokia E75 NAM comes from the e-series line, bringing a robust number of features that include:

  • Wi-Fi for mobile browsing
  • Stereo Bluetooth for handsfree calling
  • MicroSD slot for storage up to 16GB

The Nokia E75 NAM GSM cellular phone was designed for North American use. This means that the 3G / HSDPA network on the phone will function on most North American carriers and will allow you to surf the internet at high speed levels.

The Nokia E75 NAM is currently available a PureMobile with other headsets and accessories to be released throughout the year by Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Blackberry, LG, and Motorola.

  • Nokia’s latest Bluetooth headset, the BH-606, has cleared FCC’s lab tests. A Class 2 device, it is compliant with Bluetooth 2.0+EDR specification and supports Headset Profile 1.1 and Hands-Free Profile 1.5.

    The Nokia BH-606 features answer/end, power and volume keys on the body and features a white indicator light, which flashes when the battery runs out of juice. Nokia claims a talk time of up to 8 hours or 280 hours of standby time on a full charge. Pairing the headset with your Bluetooth enabled phone is as easy as holding the power button for about 5 seconds - and entering the universal passcode (0000).

    If you are in Los Angeles or even visiting the city today, head over to the Peterson Automotive Museum before 1:30 p.m. to get your hands on a brand new Bluetooth headset from LG, completely free. As you may already know, starting July 1st, all Californians behind the wheel will need to use a hands-free accessory with their cell phones. LG has teamed up with celebrity Erik Estrada to help at least 1000 people save some money on an earpiece, publicity notwithstanding. The event is called “Red, White, & Bluetooth,” and will start with a LG press release followed by the giveaway at 11:30 a.m. So, make sure you get there in time and take a freebie home that will surely come in handy next month!

    In addition to the slew of phone announced today (the Nokia 3600 slide Phone and Nokia 6600 Slide Cell Phone), Nokia is also pushing its new Bluetooth headset. The Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-803 features stainless steel details along with a sleek design and the usual ear loop for a comfortable fit.

    The Nokia BH-803 featues a touch-sensitive volume control as well as voice dial activation. It was previously slated for pricing between €140-160 excluding taxes and subsidies.

  • Pioneer AVIC-F500BT Navigation

    Pioneer’s new AVIC-F500BT Advanced Multimedia Navigation System got the FCC’s seal of approval recently. The navigation device features a map button and scroll wheel on the front, as well as a microphone that lets you use the built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calling. A special control button lets you zoom in/out of the map by pressing up and down, while pressing left and right controls the audio track being played.

    On the back is the speaker, as well as an external GPS antenna connector. On the side, you find an SD slot for added memory, headphone connector, and of course, the all-important power connector.

    No word on the pricing or availability yet, but check back with us when the Pioneer AVIC-F500BT device hits the market.

    Sony MEX-BT3600U Car CD Player

    Sony’s new MEX-BT3600U CD tuner has it all: USB and Bluetooth interfaces, a quick-search interface that lets you browse your MP3 media and support for hands-free through the car stereo. If your Walkman or mobile phone can stream audio over Bluetooth, then the MEX-BT3600U can receive and play it back on the car stereo. Thanks to support for Bluetooth A2DP (advanced audio distribution profile) and AVRCP (audio/video remote control profile), you can skip tracks or pause audio from your car stereo.

    A USB port on the front of the player provides a convenient way to connect your digital music player. The front-panel AUX input also lets you connect an external player’s audio output. Featuring 24-bit D/A conversion and 52Wx4 channels, the Sony MEX-BT3600U has three separate pre-outs as well.

    The unit also comes with a card-sized infrared remote. No word on the pricing yet.

    BH-903 Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headphones

    Look what was snooping around the FCC’s hallowed halls. The Nokia BH-903 Bluetooth stereo headphone was recently approved, so it should be on its way to the markets soon. An interesting thing about the headset is its built-in FM radio. Why not a satellite radio, you might ask. Anyway, the BH-903 is a class 2 device offering a 10-metre (33 feet) radius and lets you listen to music or receive calls on your mobile phone.

    Compliant with Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) specification, the Nokia BH-903 offers the following profiles: Headset (HSP), Hands-free (HFP), Phone Book Access (PBAP), Advanced Audio Distribution (A2DP) and Audio/Video Remote Control (AVRCP). Of course, your mobile device may not support all of them. The controller features a microphone on the back, a mute key on the side and an answer/end key on the front.

    Nokia claims that on a full charge, the device offers up to 15 hours of talk time, 250 hours of standby time, 15 hours of music playback and 15 hours of radio. Pair it with your mobile device using the universal secret code , “0000″.

    Motorola H12 Bluetooth Headset

    Motorola announced the new MotoPure H12 Universal Bluetooth Headset, featuring technology for maximum audio performance in noisy environments. The H12 is also equipped with the big M’s CrystalTalk technology for an enhanced adio experience. Thanks to its dual microphone design, the user’s voice is distinguishable from background and wind noise. With three ear cushion options on the TrueComfort design, it offers a neat fit on either ear, even when used with spectacles or other eyewear.

    The packaging includes a matching desktop charger, charging case and shirt clip. A class 2 Bluetooth device, it supports a range of up to 10 meters. Motorola claims a talk time of 5.5 hours. It supports the hands-free profile.

    Targeted for a Q4 2007 release, no word on the pricing yet. Check out the extended entry for a feature set.

    Parrot RK8200 Bluetooth stereo car kit

    Parrot announced a slew of Bluetooth devices at the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s annual show. One of the new devices is a high-performance car stereo with integrated Bluetooth car kit, two are new music kits that support audio streaming and there’s also a hands-free phone solution for people riding a motorcycle. The Parrot RK8200 car stereo is a full-fledged Blutooth car kit boasting AM/FM RDS stereo, internal memory that can store up to 300 MP3 tracks, and support for external memory in the form of an SD card reader.

    The RK8200 also comes with an iPod connector, input jack for analog devices and USB port for flash drives. This car kit can stream audio over Bluetooth thanks to its A2DP (advanced audio distribution profile) support. Thanks to automatic phonebook sync, call record maintenance and storage capacity for as many as 8,000 contacts, voice recognition and Parrot TTS (text-to-speech), you won’t ever have to worry about using your phone while driving. The dual microphone system on the RK8200 handles echo cancellation, while the Parrot dynamic choice of best microphone (DCBM) technology helps in noise reduction.

    Priced at US $279.99, the Parrot RK8200 Blutooth car kit will hit the stores in Q2 2008. A bit far away. If you want something quicker than that, you can opt for the Parrot PMK 5800, a Bluetooth/FM portable device that runs on your vehicle’s 12-volt outlet. Priced at US $119.99, the PMK 5800 ships in November.

    Coolness. That’s what comes to mind when you look at the new Navigon/Porsche Design’s Mobile Navigation P’9611 GPS device. This extremely sleek portable navigation device comes with a pre-installed SD memory card, USB cable, car holder and car charging cable. As is the norm, it comes with a built-in MP3 player. It also features Bluetooth, so you can pair up your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone and use the P’9611 as a hands-free calling accessory in your car.

    In addition, you can also call a selected point-of-interest destination if it has an associated phone number. The GPS device is powered by an Intel PXA270 520 MHz processor, 64 megs of RAM and an equal amount of ROM. It includes a u-blox Antaris 4 SuperSense 3rd gen GPS receiver, and features a 4.3 inch wide touchscreen display (at WQVGA resolution).

    Measuring 125mm x 82 mm x 19mm, it weighs just 250 grams. No word on the pricing or availability yet.

    Nokia 500 Auto Navigation

    Nokia is making its presence felt in the personal navigation market and the new Nokia 500 Auto Navigation is another addition to its lineup. The first handsfree PND from Nokia, it is geared towards in-car navigation and communication. The navigation device doubles up as your Bluetooth handsfree kit for compatible mobile phones. The Nokia 500 Auto Navigation features a 4.3" wide color screen, which is convenient to view not only maps but also your contacts. Nothing out of the ordinary, it features turn-by-turn voice directions, but as an added bonus, it features text-to-speech for speaking out street and city names. POIs and the like are the usual lot on pre-installed maps, which will be based on the target market.

    An interesting and useful feature is the integration between the device’s navigation and communication features allowing you to receive contact details for the POIs that are en route to your destination - this lets you call in advance and make a reservation, for example. The Nokia 500 Auto Navigation also supports Traffic Message Channel service letting you avoid jams. The useful split screen interface on the device gives additional info to aid you in nnavigation.

    The device does not fall short on entertainnment, and comes equipped with an integrated FM transmitter. Targeted for a Q4 2007 release in Europe, the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation is expected to retail at € 300 (excluding taxes). It should hit the US and other markets after that - which may mean a holiday season release or an early 2008 release.
