LG GW620 official presentation

Remember the LG GW620 that we mentioned a few weeks ago? At that time some details were still unknown and it wasn’t an official release, but at this time the situation has changed because the LG handset has gained a mini-site, a couple of videos, and the whole list of specifications.

With that being said, the LG GW620 is a dualband UMTS, and quadband GSM device, with the dimensions being 109 x 54.5 x 15.9 mm and the its weigh only 139g. It obviously boasts WiFi and Bluetooth, and is available with an internal memory of 2GB or 4GB. Other features of the LG handset include a microSD card slot, and a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus. Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks are also a big part on some functionalities of the GW620. Expect the device to hit the shelves near the end of this year for an unknown price, at least for now.

  • LG GW620 Android Phone Spotted

We’ve been waiting for a few months now to see LG’s Android phone, the GW620, become official. Although no North American carrier will launch the GW620 is supposed to officially debut in Europe by the end of the year. And it looks like it has already been spotted on French territory and captured on video. The phone will offer you a 3-inch resistive touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 3.5mm headphone jack. And if Motorola has MOTOBLUR on top of Android, LG made sure its proprietary S-Class UI will work well under Android conditions too. We don’t have pricing details just yet but at least we can see the LG GW620 in action.

  • LG’s Android powered GW620

LG has today come forth to announce their GW620 handset, pictured above. If you’ve been keeping track, you’ll know that this is LG’s first ever Android powered device.

This device features a 3-inch touchscreen, 5MP camera and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. LG says this device’s features are “to meet the growing needs of consumers who rely on their mobile phones for more than just making calls”.

Unfortunately they haven’t announced a North American release date but they have said that the phone should appear in select European markets in Q4 of this year.

LG GW620 to Run on Android?

LG hasn’t announced yet its first Android device but it looks like we might have a name for you. Apparently the GW620 Eve is LG’s first device ready to run on Android. Of course LG isn’t officially commenting on the matter so we’ll have to wait a while for it. Rumored specs of the Eve are an HVGA touchscreen display, a full-QWERTY keypad, WiFi, UMTS and WiFi connectivity and an Android browser. It’s this hint that ruined the surprise and made everyone realize that the Eve could be the first Android device available. Should we expect T-Mobile to just grab it and launch it soon?
