Gigabyte is prepared to launch some new phones at the MWC and, three to be more specific, which will fall under the Multimedia, Business and Style categories. One of them is the GSmart S1200 which is a touchscreen Windows Mobile 6.1 phone with a new user interface. It’s called the Smart Zone and it will feature a 528MHz Qualcomm 7200A processor and it will be really thin at only 0.43-inches. Are we going to get dazzled by Gigabyte or are we going to be better impressed by other mobile manufacturers at the MWC?

Yes guys, this one is another mini-laptop. Gigabyte has finished working on their M912V model advertised at Computex. This netbook looks like a tablet PC with that movable screen and that’s what it is. What say you Eee? Feel the pressure? When are you getting the Eee tablet thing ready?
The M912V has a 8.9 touchscreen with a resolution up to (1280 x 768). The processor is a Intel 1.6GHz Atom processor and you get 1GB of RAM with a 2.5 inch HDD with three capacities to chose from: 120, 160 and 250GB. The built in camera is 1.3 megapixels, and there are twin 1.5Watt speakers, Bluetooth, WiFi and an ExpressCard slot available. There’s even the option to include 3G via HSDPA extension, and as for OS you get to choose from Windows XP, Vista and Linux.
Wonder what the price is? I’d say this Gigabyte will cost more than the usual Eee. I am not sure I’d want that much inside with only an 8.9 inch screen. But that’s just me!
