The entry of a new iPhone this coming summer is nothing new anymore but if there is something worth noting is that of the price adjustments that stores as O2 is doing right now. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that these price drops are meant to clear out the inventory and make room for the highly anticipated new mobile phone expected for release this June or July at the latest.
The 3G iPhone will be free on its £35 and £45 per month tariffs from May. The 16GB version is currently only free on the £75 per month contract, while the 8GB handset is free only on the £75 and £45 per month deals.
The actual details and specs of the new device from Apple are fuzzy at the moment although some critics claim that it will be somewhat similar to the Nano-style device which compromises one of the carried features such as memory, the camera or screen size.
Whatever happens, you can be sure that there will be a new Apple handset this Summer. But for now, the price drops should be interesting, particularly for the people who have not yet had the chance to experience the iPhone hands-on. Best of all, you are getting a lower price on a brand new unit which makes the deal a whole lot sweeter!

Here is a potential solution for people who are having problems with the default camera the iPhone comes with. The app is the Camera Genius 1.3. It adds some worthy features to the iPhone’s bare-bones camera, but the app could use more polish and a more usable interface.
Camera Genius solves a few of the problems inherent in the iPhone’s built-in camera like its poor performance in low light, the difficulty snapping the shutter when taking self-portraits, and its lack of a timer.
The app also offers a neat feature: A sound-sensitive shutter release, so you can program the camera to snap a photo when you and a group of friends shout “Cheese” at it.

One thing that Apple has to deal with these days is the temporary (or perhaps permanent depending on his health) departure of CEO genius Steve Jobs. It is no secret that Jobs has been responsible and marked as an advertising icon for Apple computers and his absence is similar to taking out the processor on a PC. Will Apple survive the absence of their prized product endorser?
Jobs’ health problems are serious. In fact, Apple has announced that his illness has become so serious that he had to surrender his duties to COO Tim Cook until the end of June. With that said, you can imagine the rage that the Apple investors got into, seeking better explanations on the inconsistent reports and sudden turn of events made by Apple.
Did Jobs deceive Apple and shareholders regarding his health? No one has uncovered hard evidence that he did. But it sure looks bad, and securities lawyers are sure to exploit the situation given the drop in Apple’s stock in after-hours trading Wednesday and a further drop Thursday.
Apple is a notoriously secretive company. That strategy has allowed Apple to generate hype better than perhaps any company in America, but it could have backfired in a big way Wednesday. So how can Apple respond?
