So much for playing those stored tunes on a recurring manner, now you can always get more tunes via the trusty radio. That is the new feature that you can have on your iPhone with the launch of the TuneCast Auto Live FM Transmitter software app for iPhones and the iPod Touch. With this new app, you can get the best radio station frequency while mobile.

Also, you get the ClearScan Live app which allows the iPhone to display the FM frequency and the controls on its screen. This hardware-software combination is the first to utilize an iPhone application to control FM transmission and utilize GPS coordinates to determine the clearest FM frequency at the user’s location.

Benefits:

  • Activate ClearScan and utilize the GPS capabilities of the iPhone to identify the clearest FM frequencies, based on geographical data as well as results from other TuneCast Auto users in the same geographical area.
  • Contribute to the quality of ClearScan’s recommendations by rating how well specific stations work at your current location
  • Manually change frequencies and set favorite channels as presets.
  • Minimize the number of devices you interact with in your car. Control FM transmission and music seamlessly all from the iPhone user interface.

This app will be available by Fall. The Tunecast Audio Live retails at $79.99 while the Clearscan Live is available for free at the app store.

One thing about iPhones is that you want to dress it up to make them standout and here is one accessory that is bound to capture your fancy. Digital Lifestyle Outfitters has announced the launch of their latest accessory for the Apple iPhone. They are now offering TransDock micro which is a FM transmitter and charger for the iPhone. It is being sold for USD 70.

The device works inside a car drawing power from a cigarette lighter jack. It can then tune into any open FM radio frequency and that audio can be listened on the iPhone. The company said that the device comes loaded with their IntelliTune technology which scans the unused FM frequencies and save them for use.

The device plugs into the iPhone and also works as a charging unit.
