A few weeks ago we told you of T-Mobile’s Project Dark, an attempt to garner interest in more customers by introducing new handsets, a faster network and new unlimited service plans.
Today, more details have emerged regarding Project Dark that let us know of financed phones. If this turns out to be true, you can purchase a phone on credit and then pay it off in increments with your monthly payments.
Additionally, these rumors point to the fact that the unlimited plans will go as follows:
Unlimited Voice: $40
Unlimited Voice and Text: $50
Unlimited Everything: $60
Now let’s just hope T-Mobile can get their hands on even more highly sought after devices and we’ll be golden.

Motorola, like Sony Ericsson, didn’t pull off a good quarter. The company’s projected sales figures of $5.62 were all but a dream. It only managed to bring in $5.4 billion in total and just $1.8 billion from the mobile division. That handset division took an impressive hit as sells went down 45% in the first quarter. In total Moto lost $291 or $0.13 a share but the company is ready to face the facts and boldly look to the future. And the future, as far as its mobile division is concerned, has Android written all over it. We’ve seen yesterday not one but two future Motorola Android phones and the company has confirmed that it will introduce “differentiated Android-based devices” just in time for Christmas. What are we too see next? Two more bad quarters for Moto?

There are two things to look forward to come this June. One is the expected return of Apple CEO Steve Jobs who has since been on forced leave due to his health. The other is the expected announcement of a new iPhone being hyped as the “iPhone Touch HD”.
With the burgeoning success of the iPhone, iPod, and Mac, Apple is beginning to do what Microsoft has been trying for a decade to do: Create a common software platform that transcends devices. This is one of the most important trends for Apple’s long-term growth prospects.
With two huge announcements and critical things expected to come out this June, Apple is expected to continue its hold on the market and likewise formalize its entry into the netbook market.
