Samsung has another surprise phone especially made for gamers worldwide. The handset I am talking about is the SGH-F480 Games Edition and it will come preinstalled with games like “Who wants to be a millionaire 2009″, “Millenium Pocker”, “Dr Brain”, “Bejeweled Twist” and “PacMan”. The phone will also come with features like 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA connectivity and touchscreen support with TouchWiz interface.

Will the F480 Games Edition be able to compete with other mobile gaming solutions? Say like Nokia’s N-Gage or the iPhone? Would you choose this Games Edition phone over any other mobile gaming solution? What if I told you this F480 will cost you around 399 Euros later in June when it will be launched?

Those who thought anything but touch would be the future of cell phones must be feeling pretty stupid right now, as Samsung has got the right numbers to prove them wrong.  The Korean manufacturer has recently announced that it has now sold over 5 million units of its popular touchscreen cellphone, the F480 TouchWiz, worldwide and is still shipping out almost 500,000 of these finger favorites every month.  It looks like the TouchWiz UI turned out to be a huge success for Samsung and let’s not forget the fact that the F480 was the first handset to sport it.

We will have to wait and see what kind of figures Samsung will come up with once it starts selling smartphones with that sweet combination of Android and touch we like. (more…)

We have a new phone perfect for Valentine’s Day, the F480 La Fleur edition. The La Fleur special edition F480 comes in purple, pink and brown with floral patterns on top. You can pretty much expect the same F480 features underneath all those flowers. The phone will be available in Russia for now and possibly in some other European countries. No news on the price yet.

Every once in a while we get a phone covered with fancy names or jewelery for that matter. This time there’s no bling bling on top of this Hugo Boss Samsung F480. But hey, the fancy name is right there. The Hugo Boss edition is just a regular F480 with a Hugo Boss logo on top of it. Unfortunately that logo is going to cost you. It’s €479 or $620, but you’ll have to go to Europe to snatch one.

Remember the Samsung Armani? Imagine the Samsung Armani stripped off of its Armani branding and you have the Samsung SGH-F480. While the SGH-400 is part of Samsung’s multimedia phone line, this one’s part of Samsung’s “Style” line. It features a 2.8″ touch screen, video messaging, email, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth connectivity, mobile blogging, and a 5-megapixel camera equipped with auto-focus as well as image stabilization. Sources imply that the phone’s slated for an April or May release for a MSRP of around ~US$580.
