All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

Today, people have not completely enjoyed touch-screen technology but RIM is moving ahead. If all goes well with their patent, we may soon see a more sensitive touch-screen interface made of two screens, one a sensitive screen and the next a lesser one, similar to the ones we use in notebooks if you don’t like clicking through the buttons.

One click on the upper layer touch screen would be as the initial selection process while the harder layer would confirm the selection. The new hybrid touchscreen technology is of course going to cost higher as dual touchscreen technology is definitely going to need advanced materials and programming.

But as we have seen, price seems to be nothing for people who want hi-tech devices and gadgets coming out in the market. RIM is no stranger to devices and technology and if this patent does get approved, you can bet that they will once again hog the limelight.

We all know that the touch screen interface of the iPhone revolutionized how mobile device owners could easily control their gadgets. Anyone can use any of his fingers to navigate and control their phones. But now, it seems that Apple is contemplating on a wild idea to integrate finger print recognition of the iPhone, something that should draw some cheers.

The abstract for the July 2nd filing states that a device, such as an iPhone perhaps, could “store user input signatures, including fingerprint signatures. The user input signatures can, in turn, be associated with user-selectable commands. When a user provides user input (including fingerprints) to the electronic device that matches one of the stored user input signatures, the device can initiate the associated user-selectable command.”

Obviously this is a security feature that will certainly be most welcome. But this also means that the iPhone is limited to the owner’s actions. That and some other people whose signatures would be stored will be the only ones to use the device. It could work and should this new feature pull through, people will surely love the new feature if and when it becomes a reality.

  • Foton R15 Radiation Neutralizer

Radiation emitted by mobile phones is a given yet people are not even taking it seriously. Limiting the time we use our mobile phones is not easy, especially if you communicate or do business a lot while mobile. But thanks to this Canadian company, CANRUS Ventures, there is an add-on you can put in your phone to help fight off harmful radiation.

The Foton R15 comes with an adhesive backing so that it can be easily attached to any clean dry surface on, or inside of, electronic devices.

The Foton R15 should be attached to any electronic device that is used within a meter or less of a person’s body. The closer an electronic device is to the body, and the greater the concentration of integrated circuits within the device, the more influence it will have on the body. It comes with an adhesive backing so that it can be easily attached to any clean dry surface on or inside electronic devices.
