ECCO Personal Pocket GPS Locator

When it comes to GPS devices, most of us would not be found having one in hand mainly because no one wants to be seen carrying around a large device just to make sure that they will not get lost in a crowd. However thanks to IDC Design Corporation, a miniature and compact pocket GPS locator is now available for kids, adults and elders so they won’t have to worry about getting lost again.

The ECCO Personal Pocket GPS locator is certainly a welcome addition to the world of navigation these days. Already available in Amazon, users can simply lock in their starting location with the press of a button. ECCO acts like a compass and once users are ready to return, its’s simple user interface will guide them to their original saved location with a directional arrow and a distance meter.

Features:

  • Compact size
  • Simple user interface
  • Convenient status display
  • Easy Visual Cues
  • Backlit LCD interface
  • Multi-user capacity
  • Long-distance range
  • Advanced GPS technology
  • Rechargeable battery power
  • Stand-alone device

I don’t need one now but in 50 years I will surely have some sort of phone made for the elderly implanted in some part of my body. But if your going to get one now for your grandparents, you should definitely consider Samsung’s latest handset, the C3060R, specifically designed for the elderly.

The C3060R is a candybar phone which features an illuminated keypad, large rubber keys, a 2.2-inch TFT display and a special Samsung OS which comes with simpler menus and larger fonts. Other significant specs include an SOS key, FM radio and a 1.3 megapixel camera. The phone will be available in June and it will cost around $190 in Russia. It will probably be launched in other markets too but you’ll have to wait a while for it.

  • When it comes to using mobile phones, not all owners may have good hearing. Particularly for the elders, the need to turn to modifiers or hearing aids persists and apparently Sprint had this in mind when they came up with the Cap Tel.

The CapTel 800i is the latest offering in Ultratec’s CapTel line, joining the CapTel Model 200, a captioned telephone designed for use with traditional analog phone lines.

The CapTel 800i works on any telephone line, bringing with it the advantages of a telephone with text capabilities via the Internet and the ability to read the captions during telephone conversations.

The CapTel 800i will be available for purchase in the near future.

Those interested can visit www.sprintrelay.com/800i to be placed on a list and be first in line to order the new phone when it becomes available.
