This is not the first time we hear that Creative might launch a smartphone based on the Zii platform but it looks like this time we might be right. A Zii Android phone is said to be coming this December. In fact creative has a special event planned in which such a device could be announced. The Zii EGG is apparently the smartphone in question:
The Zii EGG is an energy efficient handheld StemCell Computer based on the powerful ZiiLABS ZMS-05 media-rich applications processor. Besides its multi-touch 3.5-inch LCD screen, it can also output HD video at up to 1080p. The ZMS-05’s 24 floating-point processors deliver up to 8 GFLOPS of raw processing power, while the StemCell Computing’s flexible architecture allows stunning display of 3D graphics on a small handheld battery powered device. Release to end user will be around the October time frame.
We’re past October and we’re still waiting for the EGG. Will we see it soon? Naturally, we will be all over the Zii Android phone once it comes out of its secret shell, so stick around!

The iPhone or the iPod Touch can be a handy organizer with the right application installed. And working on their previous app, LifeFocus unveiled their updated version with the LifeFocus 1.2 for the iPhone and iPod Touch. With this app, iPhone owners are expected to accomplish more tasks without wasting too much time in enumerating the things that they have to do via a to-do list.
It includes a goal-tracking feature which should help egg people to get nearer to their goal. Users can effortlessly define their goals and the tasks needed to achieve them, and have everything seamlessly integrated into a general task list. The LifeFocus 1.2 app is available at the app store and retails for $9.99.

There’s a new PMP in town and it’s coming from Creative. I am not talking about that hot Zii EGG but about the newly announced Zen X-Fi2 player.
The X-Fi2 is going to offer you a touchscreen to control it as there are no more buttons in this version. The PMP will sport a 3-inch touchscreen display, built-in microphone, FM radio, RSS reader support and microSD card support. It will be available in three versions: 8GB, 16GB and 32GB and it will cost you $129.99, $179.99 and $229.99 respectively. The X-Fi2 is available for pre-order so go ahead and do it if it fits your needs!

The Zii EGG is finally out in the open officially and starting today you might have your unit shipped to your door. As you can see in the hands-on videos above and below the Zii EGG is working perfectly. According to the lucky owner the screen compares “very favorably” with the S Series Walkman and the Zii seems to bring “the bet sounding Creative player” so far. What do you think? Would you buy a Creative Zii EGG or are you going to wait and see what new iPods are going to be launched in September?

For a game that has built on its reputation from the Gameboy Advance and WiiWare, the new Toki Tori puzzle game for the iPhone should be among the top apps people will surely look into at the Apple app store. The game is developed by Two Tribes and published by Chillingo.
Toki Tori is no chicken. The little yellow bird must brave 80 stages of increasingly treacherous puzzles and enemies to rescue lost eggs. Each stage has a set number of eggs that must be collected. To rescue an egg, all he needs to do is touch it. However, reaching these eggs is not going to be easy. For one thing, Toki Tori can only climb short ledges and ladders. If he falls into a pit or off a ledge with a high wall, there is no recourse but to start the stage over again.
Simple yet challenging is what this app is and for sure, iPhone owners will be looking into this game which has really done well on the other game consoles. This puzzle game is certainly something for the witty and boasts of great graphics that really help set the mood for an enjoyable game.
