Color Rings Bluetooth

Everyone knows the hand signs to tell someone to call or make a call. We even see this used in sci-fi movies to make it look like they are actually making a call with no handset or device in hand. But now it seems we may see a lot of people flashing the same hand signals with two glowing rings on their thumb and the other on the pinky finger and are actually talking to someone.

The Color Rings are the latest Bluetooth headset concept which anyone would mistake for a new trend of fashion being worn today. Presumably, the ring worn on the pinky is the one that has the mic and the other on the thumb is the earphone. A built-in distance sensor notifies you when you are about to make or receive calls whenever you place your hand to your head. Quite neat and something that negates the usual looking techie carrying out all those peripherals that make you look like a geek from outer space!

Kambala Mobile Phone Concept

Let’s forget the iPhone 3GS and the Palm Pre for a while and concentrate on the distant future. What do you see Mr. Spock? What about a Kambala mobile phone? Well the concept in the picture above is said to be capable of morphing into a earphone too. Push the center piece and the clip for your ear comes out. What you get is a phone-earphone kind of thing which is kind of weird but in a good way. But does it have any hidden tricks? Does it have impressive feature? So far we know that it is made of a continous flexi-screen containing lots of sensors capable of transmitting the image on the inside of the phone to the outside. That alone shall not do for special features but the concept itself is pretty interesting. Would anyone trade their new Pre for a Kambala?

Want to unleash the inner gangster in you? Listen to Dr. Dre beats all day long? Have $150 to spare on earphones? Then this is right up your alley, as Apple has released new Beats headphones which deliver sound so big “you’ll think you’ve got speakers in your ears.”

Apparently, this premium earphone also features the world’s first “tangle-free earphone cable” for you messy types, as well as in-ear noise isolation and a trio of cone tips for the most comfortable fit. There are also high-efficiency drivers and “magnetic technology” play so you can push it to high volume to make your ears bleed more easily.

Oh, and it comes with a protective case, too, just in case you stomp on it or shoot it or something.

Sleek Audio is demonstrating its SA6 customizable high-fidelity in-ear earphone at CES, empowering users to customize their audio experience and listen to music like never before, thanks to its Variable Equalization (VQ) technology.

“As technology within the audio industry has evolved, options for listening to advancements in sound quality and clarity have lagged behind, thus limiting listeners’ audio experiences,” said Mark Krywko, President of Sleek Audio . “To address this issue we designed the VQ System giving people the ability to fine tune their audio experience and get the most out of today’s technologies with our SA6 in-ear earphone. We call this, “finding your audio fingerprint,” added Krywko.

According to Sleek Audio, each individual has a unique audio fingerprint and the depth and diameter of the ear canal determines the ways sounds and music are heard. The SA6 enables users to customize frequency response of both high and low ends of their audio directly on their earphones, giving them a chance to find their exact audio fingerprint.
