Sure some people would love running BlackBerry’s OS on Nokia’s E71x but that’s simply not going to happen anytime soon. But then again you might spot the E71x in an AT&T ad, like the one above, running BlackBerry OS. The ad has been seen in a local AT&T store and it looks like those people doing all the photoshopping for AT&T don’t exactly care much about mobile operating systems.

If you thought the Nokia E71 (or even the E71x) deserved a business suit every time you had to carry around, pretty soon, the addition of a 5-megapixel lens on this work-oriented smartphone will definitely change your mindset. Dubbed the E71i this time, this Nokia device will get a much-needed bump up to a 5mpx lens from the 3.2 megapixel shooter that the current versions have, in turn bringing in more consumers who had previously stayed away from the E71 for the sole reason of an under-powered camera. We have already seen many 8mpx and 12 mpx cameraphones, but with a 5-megapixel lens, Nokia isn’t jumping too high and ends up maintaining the dignity that Eseries devices demand. The Symbian OS will also be updated to Feature Pack 2, just like the E71x released recently, and the handset will be available only in shades of mocha brown. Rumors point to a E71i release as early as September with the Nokia World event scheduled for the same month or as late as October, so stay tuned and we will get more on this as it transpires.

The wait is over folks, the long overdue E71x is here at last. Interested businessmen can head right over to AT&T website to order one for a throwaway price of just $99.99, which is a 100 bucks lesser than what was rumored and a great deal even if it’s on a two-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate considering its full metal body and its all-business demeanor running Symbian S60 ver3.2, HSDPA/3G support, WiFi, a full QWERTY keypad, Bluetooth, and GPS. There’s even a 3.2 megapixel camera for snapping up memories on your next office outing. Hop over to AT&T to get yours.

A new Nokia smartphone will be found in AT&T stores starting with March 24 almost as previously expected. The E71/E71x will be sold for $199 with a 2-year contract. The phone will arrive in black from AT&T and you should go to Nokia stores if you want it in a different color. While the E71 is a great smartphone, is it worth investing $199 in it considering that better smartphones are going to arrive shortly?

The E71x is arriving from Nokia US and AT&T soon. And you might be interested in getting this Nokia phone here. The handset will have Feature Pack 2 inside unlike the previous version of the phone. So what about everyone else who already purchased the Nokia E71 with S60 3rd Edition FP1? Will they get the firmware update to FP2?
We have no arrival dates yet and the price is still unknown but AT&T is suspected to pick this one up soon.
