All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

Some recent rumors point to a September release of new Acer smartphones. It looks like the company is ready to release a bunch of phones come this fall. The A1, C1/E1, F1 and L1. We’ve been waiting for Acer to make up its mind and announce at least a couple of the handsets mentioned above. The A1 for example will be an Android-powered smartphone while the F1 will be a Windows Mobile phone powered by that Snapdragon platform from Qualcomm. We’ll be waiting for Acer to confirm the rumors and offer us more details about these hot phones.

  • Just a little while ago we heard that Acer’s smartphones will come for free when purchased with a plan and now we hear that the company plans to sell it’s brand new handsets for only 49 Euros or about $62.

The models in question are the entry-level Acer C1 and Acer E1 and they will both come with Windows Mobile 6.5 on board. The phones will arrive in Q3 2009 so by then we should have some hot details about them for you. Stick around!
